What if i wanna make both formats? Like first start with the comic format, mimicking old looney tunes comics with the first 5 and on the 6th one start with the comic but change it to webtoon format and stay as that format? Can i do that?
@EbbeWaxin14 күн бұрын
@@yellowdevil9195 I guess you can, however.. I think where you upload might have issues with the mixed format or maybe the reader will be confused. But hey, anything is doable.

what paper do i use?
@EbbeWaxinАй бұрын
A4 size or A5 if you are looking for a manga style. But the format of your comic can be whatever you decide. If its a brand of paper you are looking for, thats hard depending on the country, choose what works for you, try some to find your favorite. ^^

Thanks man. What advice would you give to me; a man with a fictional universe of over a 100 characters that are linked together, some of them with their own stories. How do I start and how do I build the universe gradually??? if you help me that would be great
@EbbeWaxin2 ай бұрын
There is a couple of ways to do it. These are just simplified tips : 1. Do an anthology series - every faction, character or world get their time to shine and in the end they all connect for a climax. 2. Have a narrator character that meets and sees all characters and their stories thru his story. 3. Have a group of mixed characters from all the stories, that way you can cover a lot in shorter time. Remember, world building is great and all, but don't over explain everything. That kills the story telling. Show don't tell. Make it the characters personal story instead of the factual and logical. Just some tips. ^^ Hope it helped some.

I can never recommend knowing atlesst the begging and end of a story whether it be a book, comic, ect anything. It personally helps me a ton for stories, along if you want to have more detailed scenarios in between, figuring out what happens in the end and begining can help with figuring out if you want to add it, and personally helps me with foreshadowing, i lovee foreshadowing

I have such a hard time not overdesigning. it's hard to make a simple design that doesn't feel empty 😭
@EbbeWaxin7 ай бұрын
It is a challenge, but worth it in the long run. Examples are Batman and Hellboy - Most draw Batman with the cape covering him, Hellboy artists usually have him in heavy shadows. But if you want to overdesign, that's okay. The risk is always that you will burn out on drawing that designed character and it will take longer to produce your story/comic/illustrations.

That will be hard. Was just a doodle i did in like 15-20 minutes just for the video. :P Don't usually draw like that anymore. But basically it's just simple shapes put together. Head is a fluffy square, Shoulders = triangle shape ,etc...

To be honest for me it’s easier to read the webtoon format the standard format is harder for me to read as in I’m not always sure which side I have to start reading in one panel there could be 10 scenes and I’m not sure where I should start right left up down it’s never really consistent from the ones I’ve read so far

one of my favorite ways to make comics is making everything black, grey and white, very simple and then. BOOM all of the sudden, one of the important scenes is completely colored, full details and have a large box

When I did write stories and I knew the end from the beginning, it didn't go well. But when even I didn't know how my story would end, it went great! In artschool I get lots of compliments, especially because I don't know what I'm doing, but always can figure something out. Don't want to have an ego, but that tip of having an end isn't the best tip for creative People. Therefore I'm not sure about the other tips, joined art school to understand drawing in general better.
@EbbeWaxin Жыл бұрын
I could say the same about your tips, most creative people never got anything from art school, and not all people can work improvising every step like you. So judging the tips for yourself is one thing. But don't judge for others. Since you said it yourself... You don't know what you are doing.
