Love these videos. I used to rate Criterion as my favorite label, but KL has taken that crown with me. I have about 1,000 discs and look forward to reading and hearing about your new releases. Here's to 2025. Thanks for all you do!

There has been an unfortunate tendency to re-score these silent films when they are restored, with the most vile, inappropriately dissonant screeching possible. This was done here, and it ruins the experience completely. It is horridly out of order, and an insult to the filmmakers’ original work. It’s as if no thought whatsoever went into the music composed, and NONE of it would have been found in theatres of the era. Better to watch it with the sound off.

@@ranges6582 It may be with Criterion. Apparently, the director was not being very helpful in working with Kino Lorber, so after waiting and waiting for her to get back to them, they gave up and let the movie go.
