Your radiator is leaking because of the shoddy way radiators are made nowadays. I' old enough to remember when they were made entirely out of copper and brazed together. These new units are made of aluminum and plastic and basically just clamped together.

people like you just let me antifreeze out on the ground have no respect for the planet we live on that's sad that you're too damn lazy to get a bucket and catch it you just let it go on the ground ridiculous you shouldn't even turn a wrench what an IMBECILE!!!

Where I live that stuff is called California Deer Killer. Best way on the planet to deal with deer trashing your rose garden, neighbors' dogs pooping on your lawn, etc. I think you're getting my point.

Great video. I found your video as my truck is having the same issue. One thing I have learned based on watching other videos of similar situations, disconnect the negative side of the battery and let it sit for 30 minutes prior to beginning work on the steering column as this will fully discharge the airbag system.

$83 radiator at Amazon. $200 at O'reillys local. Go figure. Likely all from the same Chinese factory.

You did a good job of explaining what you did, but let us see exactly what you were seeing. We watched you instead of the little details which could end in failure for most of us newbies. Specifically mating the radiator with the ac condenser. We watched you struggle, but we did not see why you were struggling.

40 years mech . always replace the fans when you do the radiator on a caravan. they have the same life expectancy of the radiator and the hoses .

Distilled water. Should have removed the red painted radiator support that traverses the entire compartment. It would have opened up the entire area and made it much easier. Good work even though.

Thank you for this video! I have a Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L 2007 with 180K km, and the coolant started to leak a bit, I have seen some small wet spots on on the asphalt the driver side in a summer sometimes under the radiator. I am just wondering if this a radiator? I purchased the coolant leak stop, but it did not help.I am just wondering if I should add another coolant leak stop fluid into the radiator or just replace one? Merry Christmas!

I guess there's some radiator fluid in there... made me laugh because I think we all knew what was gonna happen before when you said you weren't gonna use the pan. SMH. However, great video I am in the middle of it so far and very informative. Thank you for posting.

Yeah, I think I can do this! That's what I needed to see to boost my confidence. The van is the same. You and I are like Bookends right down to the broken belt loop from pulling up our pants! Lol Seriously, I appreciate your work putting this out here for those of us who don't even qualify as a shade tree mechanic. The video really prepares me for the job. I've put in radiator "stopleak" several times so I'm going to flush out the system first. I'm hoping thar removes any of that silver or copper glitter that could stop up water jackets in the engine. I'm going to also replace the thermostat, radiator cap and overflow hose. I'll inspect the overflow tank as it sure seems to loose coolant there as well. Also, thanks to the comments of your viewers about removing the top support bracket.

Good video with useful information. Only negative was dumping your antifreeze on the ground! Please, people, don't do this. Any animal that comes along will lick it up because of its sweet taste but it will kill them!!! Don't dump antifreeze on the ground!

10:06. Removing that crossmember ( the bar that the hood lock/latch assembly is connected to via around the center of it) would have made this soo much easier and it's easy to remove that crossmember out of the way.

You should consider including in your title that you're working on a 3.3L or V-6, or Grand Caravan. Lots of us looking for info on the 4-cyl with the 2.4L engine and it's very time consuming when this information is not included.

Awesome! Yes this video helps a lot. I just replaced the water pump and had to press in a new hose nipple on water pump housing. No fun, but I sprung a bad leak. wasn't water pump. Turned out to be a broken hose nipple. Im just thinking about replacing the radiator even tho it isn't leaking. I thought your van had transmission hoses attached to it? Im very glad it doesn't. Makes removal and install easier. KZbin videos have saved me time and time again :D
