Flashlights was a synth bass from Bernie Worrel. Groove is the heart is sampled from Herbie Hancock. And before parliament he was a bass player for James brown. 😂

To me writing a consistent album is difficult enough yet to do it upon a double album and do it brilliantly is epic, personally two great double albums exist Sign o the Times -Prince The Wall-Pink Floyd

There would have never been a Pink Floyd without Waters. Plenty of guitarist, but only waters had the creative genius

Groove Is In The Heart wasn't played by Bootsy. It's actually a sample of Herbie Hancock's "Bring Down The Birds" from the Blow Up soundtrack from 1967. Bootsy did provided adlibs and appeared in the video though!

By whom have the lyrics been criticized? Morons, that's who. Anyone who has even basic reading comprehension can see that this song is a critique of Mengele's actions.

Bob Marley music is the best thing ever made in the history of the world. Who cares about he was strangling, he is the legend of the world in a way that makes people happy and he was right about everything he said. Rest in peace and I will always remember you forever!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

The guy was technically brilliant. But that is only part of being a great guitarist. He didn’t have the feel or emotional depth of a Peter Green, or SRV. Couldn’t jam to save his life. Watch him with zztop online- no rock soul . He was a fusion player… not a rock player.

People who claim that Roger Waters was the “leader” of Pink Floyd are really just looking at it from a conceptual standpoint, in which case he most certainly was. But Roger was always much more of a poet than a musician (David Gilmour probably played bass on more Floyd songs than Roger did), leaving the music in the hands of David and Rick, who in every sense of the word were Pink Floyd’s musical leads.

Amused To Death is the best album since they parted ways. Without Waters writing and conceptual visions the band would have ended when Syd departed. Besides it's not Pink Floyd without all 4 members. Waters is a true solo artist since his departure. It would be like calling the Beatles, the Beatles with only 3 members.

Hum... there is an easy way to know it, on many pink floyd albums, the principal compositor of each song is indicated, and I checked on all Pink Floyd albums, the name of Roger Waters was on all songs from the wall, except Comfortably Numb and the Trial, all Dark Side of the Moon songs, except Breathe (in the air), on Wish you were here, Pigs (three differents one), Sheep, all Ummagumma album, Echoes, and many more... I really like Gilmour, but I think we have to recognize that Roger Waters was with no doubts the principal compositor of the greatest band in the world...
