Just booked a cruise to this amazing country yesterday...... how far is by walk from the port to the part where the shops are..... any idea is there a hop on hop off bus nearby?
@PolarisTravelExperts20 күн бұрын
Not sure about the hop on hop off bus. It's a tender port. The Old city pretty much right across the street from where they drop you off and pick you up. Not much of a walk at all. Enjoy your cruise!

Great review. This is one of the cruises I have shortlisted. I think balconies are great but they're expensive, especially, if you're a solo cruiser. Personally, I would recommend using the public decks on the ship to see the awesome scenery. It is not as private but it certainly does work for the budget traveler!
@PolarisTravelExperts28 күн бұрын
@eternalvase Good point. We have been spoiled with balconies but there are times when we still go in inside cabins. They certainly can help stretch a budget!

Thank you for sharing your experience and videos of your Eqypt tour. We are leaving next month (Exoticca Tour - Luxury package) and we are confirmed for the MS Esmeralda boat. Also thank you the tips, like buying drinks onshore. If we do this, can we bring the soda with us in the dining during lunch and dinner? Also, what deck floor is your cabin located? Did you have to upgrade to get a better location, upper floor deck? Thanks very much in advance for your help.
@PolarisTravelExperts28 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. We were on the top deck. I'm pretty sure we did get the upgrade. We were able to bring the drinks with us to the dining room, they were pretty laid back with that while we were onboard. We usually also purchased water, so that might have helped but it wasn't expensive and with the heat we drank every bit.

Is there a place to get a good bottle of tequila as soon as you get to the port? Id like to take a bottle home.

@nathans892 There are shops right at the port before you take the transfer to town. Definitely at least 1 place to purchase tequila. Salud!

Thanks for the amazing review! Do you happen to know if there are any beaches nearby? We're gonna be there soon too, just for a few hours docking, and were thinking to enjoy both the old town and a beach ⛱️
@PolarisTravelExperts28 күн бұрын
@paulkalak There are some small beaches, but you may need to pay a hotel a fee to use them. If you want to get on the water, we had friends on the ship who did the Blue Cave Tour and really enjoyed it. Here is a link where you can book tours, hopefully it will be helpful for you. www.viator.com/Kotor-tours/Half-day-Tours/d23078-g12-c95?pid=P00071253&uid=U00221762&mcid=58086¤cy=USD

I stayed 6 times in Hotel Playa Los Arcos. First time in 1980 at age 20. And the price was only 25$ a night back then. And also in 1982,1983,1987 & 1995 the last time. I loved the real Mexican feeling,the friendly people,the Mexican food..back then it was down to earth. I do miss it big time. Saludos from Amsterdam The Netherlands 🇳🇱

Great review! Short and great information. I wanted to know if I should book transport through my booking site for $66 per person. Who else is there to reserve at a better value? Also for the restaurants is it hard to get a reservation if you go 15 minutes prior. Can I reserve a time later in the evening?
@PolarisTravelExperts2 ай бұрын
$66 sounds like a pretty good deal from what I saw when I was there. Getting seated all depends on the time you go, how full the resort is, which restaurant, etc so it's kind of a hard question to answer. In general the earlier you go the easier it is.
