@raymondvanleeuwen53083 күн бұрын
@@grandmakettauto8009 I mean the chrome around te windows for example. Did you use paint as suggested in the instruction? I see some people using aluminium foil instead. What would you suggest?

I haven't used the chrome foil yet, but I will try it. I use Alclad II Chrome paint with its own gloss black primer.

Very nice that carbon underlip on the bumper. Small detail,but makes it just good,classy almost. I have build this kit as my 2th after not building for 40 years. And it was to difficult to build it good then. But now i got all the tools,a good airbrush and experiance i think i will build it again in the future.Because it is a very good looking car.
@grandmakettauto800917 күн бұрын
A very nice car with a distinctive shape. Perhaps those were the last years when designers still drew beautiful cars. You can hardly distinguish today's cars. I know you like it when I add extra things during construction. There will also be extras in the next part, especially when building the engine.

Very nice that wiring and tubing work on the engine allready. Gonna be a beauty when it is completed. I like these kind of shorter video,s where you show easy what and how you do it. Comes in good and handy for a less experianced builder.

Have you ever thought of actually building from scratch, rather than enhancing a model which has been designed and made by a manufacturer. Your work is well executed but is not modelling in the true sense. What I mean by this is that this is not a model made by you, as all the real research and work has been done by highly skilled others.

Bought this exact kit on Amazon last week. Was the cheapest 1-24-25 scale kit. €16.95. Could not let it go for that price. Not into amirican cars,but HE it was cheap and i am dutch,wich goes perfect together. It surprized me how nice the body was. Gonna use metallix Blue for the body and on the inside white/blue combo .Nice to see how it comes together via your hands.

Great and awesome! Mostly the wiring! Would u be so kind where to buy or "doityourself" the end of the ignition cables? You use some 3d printed or such resin parts. And what is the diameter of the wires? Thank you.

Thanks! The cable has a diameter of 0.4 mm, I made the cable pipe from: Top Studio 1.2 mm Resin Hose Joints.

@@grandmakettauto8009and why did you use Micro crystal clear for fixing the windows instead of using eg Tamiya Cement? Thinking of buying but I don't buy it if it works with Tamiya extra thin cement.

General adhesives dissolve the plastic to create the bond. That's why I usually use solvent-free glue for transparent parts.

Absolutely great work! But in the original P 601 the steering wheel is black (PUR-plastic) But it doesn´t matter. Congratulation for this model! I have the same kit and I start the work this week. Greetings from Leipzig.

Thank you for the praise! Yes, you are right about the government! We had such a Trabant when I was a child, so I tried to reconstruct it based on old photographs. At that time, we tried to tune it optically :) so a white steering wheel and a more modern dashboard like the one in the newer models were included. I wish you good construction!
