Just found this video. Thanks so much. I've been through several BCC and SCC removals with plastic surgery follow ups, including one on the top of my head that required the creation of a very large flap to close the Mohs (think tonsured monk with a scar--the hair did grow back). Have had great dermatologist and plastic surgeons (first one retired on me) so was fortunate there. Now I'm facing treatment with topical chemotherapy so I'm checking out KZbin vids.

I wouldnt have counted the sentimental stuff towards your keeps. I would also recommend putting the sentimental stuff in a box or somewhere else in your closet.

Old English oil would help the look of the cabinet. All that you are doing is what I am doing. I’m by myself now, since my husband passed away. I have so much to clear out and scale down. I do not have that many years and my health is not that good. You have inspired me to get busy. So far about 45 hangers have been emptied.

Are you thinking about being prepared for a disaster? Those extras should be put away for a time when you might not be able to buy what you need. Earthquakes are a fear here in California. I live in the Inland Empire. Enjoy seeing your video. I started on the closet. Probably won’t get to 50% but it’s will be better.

I know exactly how you feel. I ve had 3 skin cancer surgeries on my FACE too. Yes it does suck. I agree. Make does wonders.😂

I am very willing to go with decluttering my clothes by 1/2 --but, my question /problem is...my grands play ball and I have t's that I wear at their games, I scrapbook and I have t's that I wear when I am scrapbooking with friends, t's that I wear at church activities, as well as just my t's that I wear for everyday... how do I count and declutter these t's? Do they all go in the same category or do they each have their own category? Ugh... lol

Well, you’ll have to come up with your own system then, but I think if you wear them regularly and still love them, keep the special Ts! Check for stains, holes, ones that don’t fit and maybe let go of those if there are any. For me, I definitely wasn’t even wearing 1/20 of my clothes, so getting rid of half was relative easy. I have to admit now that a few months have gone by I don’t regret a thing and my laundry is way easier! It doesn’t build up like it used to - I’d be out of clothes too quickly! 😄

I started with my kitchen. It made a huge impact on me. Although it was a lot of work, it has made my life easier every time I go out there to cook. I love how it looks!❤️

I’m dreading the kitchen the most! It’s itty bitty so you would think it would be a piece of cake but I know I’m going to be frustrated in there. But like all of it, once it’s finished I’m sure it’ll make everything so much easier!

A few people have made this comment, but who really knows what they’ll want when they’re older. My mom kept hardly anything and I wish I had more cute little projects to show my kids what I did when I was their age. I have room to keep it and it’ll be fun looking through it with them as they get older.

I decluttered by putting 5 things every day in a box. Garbage went straight in a bin bag. Box went out the door when it got full or close to it.

I want to get rid of everything well most of it but as soon as I start going through my stuff, I end up keeping it 😢 but I did fill half of a trash bag with clothes. So I’ll get there eventually

Baby steps! It gets easier the more you do it. I don’t have a problem letting go of clothes, but I know that’s a tough one for a lot of people! Start with something you don’t care much about and it’ll be easier ✨

I have to wear pajamas because I live with my husband and 2 sons. I have 5 pair of pajamas and 2 top sleeve fleece tops to wear over. I have one pajama top that I wear when I color my hair. My brother would love your mid century dresser. He pretty much is a hoarder of that type of furniture and stuff. You did great again ❤

I know it’s hard to tell and I didn’t mention it, but the top drawer is less deep than the other two. So my other clothes wouldn’t fit in there. I had to put just the smaller swimsuits and such because it’s the only thing that fits. Otherwise I definitely would take that advice! It’s the only downside to mid-century furniture. People were smaller back then and had small clothes, so the drawers are narrow 😆

Hello. I came across your channel a few days ago. I have watched several of your declutter and organize videos. Just wanted to let you know when I empty my vacuum container I go outside and dump it in a bag. I am also highly allergic to dust. Dumping it outside has helped me a lot. Then the dust allergens are outside and not flying around in the house. I have noticed a difference when I do it that way.

Thank you so much. This video is older, I have had two surgeries on different areas of my face. I do have an update video on my channel if you’re interested, but the short of it is that everything is ok and they got all the cancer out ❤️🩵

I'm part-way through a gradual and gentle reducing of our stuff after finding myself, very suddenly and unexpectedly, a widow! I have you (and April the Space Maker) as background while I potter about re-thinking things. I too love vintage things but I am trying to only keep what I use, and parting with the extra for someone else to enjoy. I love eating from odd plates that are probably 100 years old, imagining the girls (usually) who sat in the factories hand-painting and gilding them. What did they chatter about? Gossip about? Complain about? All the lives the crockery has lived before me. I cannot wait to watch more of your content! So realistic, and pragmatic...you are helping me find a new way of being. Grateful thanks from the UK.
