if you're building your own wooden scaffolding, you have to be aware of the design and assembly requirements and the need to use wood that's rated for scaffolding use for the parts people stand on. Can't tell for sure, but it looks like a piece of plywood being used for the platform at the top, and generally that is not allowed. You have to use planks that are rated for scaffolding use, for the parts people will stand on. Also, if this is in the USA the person overseeing the scaffolding construction and use has to have the OSHA certification for scaffolding, which is not hugely difficult to get, but you do have to get it - if any "employee" will be using the scaffolding. If you are only using it for yourself independently, i.e. no employee will be using it, then you are not required to get the OSHA certification for scaffolding competency.

the plates were 60x60 cm plywood, 6mm - 20 ddk as it was a cutoffscrap glue, nails, and so on we had the handle, locks and corners was 200 ddk pianohinges about 30 ddk so in all around 250 ddk which is around 35 dollers but the concept is simple, and you can do it as you like, and skip the corners, we also made a version of a 2x4 resawed thanks for the interest - Kenneth

+kajfy thank you it is a lot smaller, and when cleaning that is nice :) its a trade off, the barn we have is open in the top corners, something with ventilation so birds come in, and they leave presents on the machines, but not if they cant get in the box shop :) yeah richardt and his axes, i dont know how many we have, but more that we have hands - Kenneth

I had to rent a "sheet-lift" when setting up the few pieces of ceiling that I've installed so far. It was great. Not necessry if you're more than one, but I can recommend it. Regarding the format, maybe it depends on the content, too? In this case, a time lapse and loose discussion around it between you two is pretty good! It would not have been very interesting had it just been the time-lapse. Also, I guess you weren't in the mood of even trying to make a "build video" of that, but to just get the shop done? So the format was suitable! I'm still working on my format[s] (thanks for the shout out!).. Talking to the camera (alone) is very weird for me to do and I don't like it, same goes for the voice-over, but I think, to me, they may be the right things to do. Talking to/with the camera when doing an update/vlog-thing, and talking/voice-over on build videos if the video doesn't explain what (or why it) is happening.

The door frame issue... I spent plenty of time reading on how to do this "the right way", and was fully aware of that a gap (and shims) need to be used when installing it. The reading and being too afraid of doing something wrong while working on it probably meant that I spent at least, if not more time than what you did building and fixing the problem. :) Oh, and good idea to see who's doing the talking! But are you really identical twins? You look more like "ordinary" brothers. :)
@thelordship3120
@thelordship3120 8 жыл бұрын
+JWAM Yeah we dont much read manuals, if we know the basics we just go ahead, worst case we have to do it over. but it think it was mostly because we did the framing at night, in the cold, and the next morning when it was warmer, so i think our timber settlede and therefore our measurements was of. we are twins, not identical as you can see, but until we were 12 years old we looked like we were. - Kenneth Richardt asked me to ask you if you can't video more of your projects, you have great ideas.

+The Lordship I will definitely both shoot more details of a project as well as do (and shoot) more projects. I made a false start with this KZbin stuff during the summer (we built our house and moved in in May), even though I haven't had time to build my garage nor other stuff around the house. It hasn't been optimal trying to do projects in the mess and stress.. There's no room nor lighting in the garage, so trying to record just adds more problems. :) But I'll release 2-3 more videos (with hopefully improving quality) before resuming garage-building to get that out of the way. I will probably not record any of that. I'll leave that to you guys. :)

+JWAM Ah, you did touch on the subject during the last 10 seconds of the video (I've never commented midway through a video before.. this was the first and last time). Always charming to watch when there's multiple persons working on a project! :) I too made an "upside-down circular-saw" table saw (also without a riving knife) and was happy with the result. Then I watched a guy on KZbin who intentionally caused a kickback. It made me realize that I had no idea what I was doing. Have you seen it?
