Hello! Great video I am trying to create an Irving grid family based on line that also makes a hole in a concrete slab, but the most I reach is creating a Floor based Family that doesn't work like a wall ration, but inserts a grillage that you can edit later. is it possible to mix the line based with floor based family in order to make what I need to do?
But the glass panel doesn't perfectly fit in the slot in mullion, there's a gap. How to make the panel extend to fill in the gap?

I've used revit for a long time. I've never understood the difference between "Bottom" and "View Depth Level". Don't they do the same thing?

The "View Depth Level" does control the visibility of objects below the "Bottom" setting, but not just whether they are visible or not - it also makes them a special line style called <Beyond> so that the line work looks different and highlights the fact that the objects are actually below the floor (assuming your "bottom" setting is the floor line). Hope that answers your question!

Does it work for Transom as well or do you need to create a Transom profile family? Understandably Mullions work here because mullions are vertical but transoms are horizontal so I am taking we cannot use this particular profile family for transoms, is this correct? ie. there is no Left/Right views to this Mullion Profile family which is what you would need for a transom.
@bimskilled Жыл бұрын
Hello 👋 Thanks for your comment. It's possible for horizontal too. We Just need to add that.
