THANKS for creating this awesome 1:24 video! My local mechanic shop was going to charge me $30 for the filter alone let alone the additional labor. I went to AutoZone and bought it for $12.99! But I have to say that if you’re beyond 5 minutes into your 50th birthday, it may be worth it to just pay someone to install it. At 65 yrs old, I had to turn into a circus freak contortionist to finally install it and to replace the cap. I may give it a try again next summer.

Someone at a “qualified dealer” changed mine. I lost my air flow after that. When I checked my cabin filter after they did the job, I found the following: They lost the squeeze & pull retainers. The cover for the filter was falling off loose with the screw missing. And the actual filter was stuffed in like a rag, upside down and backwards. I repaired it with all new parts, but can’t locate new squeeze & pull retainer clips. Does anyone know the part number for these?

I know you were doing it with one hand but make sure the cover for the filter is on right with those 2 tabs. Also the top cowl fits up into the glass (little slot) it will probably force itself in but make sure that lines up too. Otherwise you are golden and it only adds maybe 3mins to the overall to make sure you have everything right again.
