Sweden got into semis because the refs missed the major and the Swedes scored rightaway. Sweden got away from many missed calls even on this game, that's why I was rooting for Finland. On the 3rd period the Finns just protected their lead like any team would have done one the 3rd.

The best hockey game ever played. As a finn I rewatch this video once a month. This tournament made me fall in love with the latvian national team and I support them every tournament now.

I would say that only an idiot would leave a comment like yours. I can agree that there was no penalty for the Team USA player, but at the same time, there was no simulation from the Latvian player… falls like this hurt a lot. At the same time don't think it's worth discussing that situation because it wasn't game-changing, also judges make mistakes, and it's a history. That's the beauty of sport that one group of people and some situations make magic happen. Maybe just one time, but still it counts. We can find a lot of moments like this in sports history.

What if Rick Nash hadn't thrown the puck? I love this match, what players, what legends. It is clearly visible how Sergei Fedorov, being the most experienced and star Russian player, builds the team's game, and how the guys from Chicago are hardening themselves before the cup campaigns.
