Creates upward convection so less air settles near the open plates, it reduces the likelihood of contamination with spores and airborne bacteria

I'm the same way. Even if I'm just listening to an ASMR video, I can tell when they're not doing a normal action (like tapping everything they touch for at least 30 seconds each) and it drives me bats.

I took chem this past semester and we had them. Ours used a dial tho and u had to keep ur thumb still and not move the dial or it would rotate back and everything would fall out of the pipe the
