Who are the NFC and AFC? The NFL hasn't got a clear plan for outsiders. I can only compare this to Football but it doesn't fit with any system i know of, it's close to Champions League/Europa Cup/World Cup.....but playing each other once doesn't fit. I was very surprised when i heard that the NFL only plays 17 games a season and they make millions every year and only play 60% of the those 17 games because a whole new team comes out for offence and defence. Football players get laughed at for faking injuries and rolling around on the ground, and rightly so. I (and most of the Irish/British) can't stand that, important players roll around on the ground for no reason instead of helping their team, it's pathetic. In the 70/80's (and probably earlier) a player would get injured and the physio would come on with the "Magic Sponge and Miracle Water" and the player is suddenly fine

Could this be anymore complex? Just trying get my head around the NFL and my mind is shot. Very different from European leagues. I assume this approach allows all teams to play one another on a rotation basis? Or it’s it simply to maximise the viewing audience for TV?
