After rust treatment, did you spray or wipe it off or just prime directly onto the dried chemicals?

Once chemical reaction had occurred Wipe it off with a towel till dry then primer. Apologies for the late reply

Hi tali thanks for tuning in. I would not think that topping compound would be sturdy enough. I have seen in other videos people use cornice cement which hardens tough sand it back then goes over it with topping compound. Hope this helps.

When i colour match at bunnings they colour is always little bit different and stands out little bit .. any tip for that.. I think painting the whole wall might help

I do usually always paint whole walls when they don’t colour match. Also I’ve started going to independent paint sellers like Haymans as the service is amazing they know what they are talking about and colour match is usually spot on

i just found out about your channel and I really like your thorough approach to fixing things. Other people would probably have just left the damaged waterproofing and installed the soap holder on top. It is good to see that you take your time to do the right thing by waterproofing over it. Another option is drill holes out to similar size of wooden or plastic dowell ,glue it in and cut back flush. Drill another pilot hole and screw hinge on. It will look like no repair was done. If the damage was a little bit too muck then those plates are good.

Did you spray some WD40 or similar in the hinge to loosen up any rust and stop restricting opened and closed. Even better,knock that pin out and clean up with grinder b4 welding back into position. Thanks for sharing

Tried to spray wd40 up into it but looking back probably should have just knocked the pin out and greased her up. Lesson learned with on the job experiences 🙃

Not yet been super busy with work to have the opportunity to play. I had to buy a neck for the wire feed separately, it finally arrived but haven’t had the pleasure in of practicing just yet. Will pop a video up when I do of my experience 😅

Iv owned the 230 welder for over a year, iv been lucky and had zero issues with tig welding aluminium and tig welding mild steel loving this machine.
