A lot of long-winded motivational talk, with very little helpful tactical information.

Wordlessly standing ans wait til the Old Man finishes his thoughts is so true of every branch and field commander. Godfather's technique is super effective. Even the CSM had nothing to say.

The way he refers to himself in the third person reminds me of Douglas MacArthur. He did the same thing.

Chance Kelly would have been great in Band of Brothers as Col. Sink. as well, not just as Godfather.

What i find even more courageous is the fact after he does the speech about not being able to fly out wounded and the chance pf being surrounded by thousands he STILL sends out a detachment to bring the kid to the hospital.. War is hell but its even worse when we lose all our humanity

Is the first reconnaissance battalion that harsh❓ Do you want to take a mission with one meal a day while there is nothing❓ It'slike japan during the last war, it's like suicide. I'm japanese, but I thought they were on a mission with pride. I believe that a lot of things have been improved and I'm on a mission right now😢

What I love about this character is that he wears his emotions on his sleeve. Yet, he isn’t hysterical about it. For him it was all about the mission and the objectives necessary to complete that mission. Characteristics of any good field officer in the U.S. military. The show paints that officers in a negative light, however Ferrando seemed like an absolute leader of men. I have a hard time believing that anybody in first recon during that time wouldn’t have ran through a wall for this guy.

To go from portraying one of the greatest men in history, to being in a film glorifying a murderer who got a lot of good men killed... Nothing to do with you as a person, you're just doing your job. I just hate how Hollywood made Chris Kyle look like a good guy and pulled the wool over everyone's eyes covering up what he and his unit really did.

Always a surreal experience hearing Chance Kelly speak in his normal voice and not the gravelly Godfather voice lol
@RedTail1-15 ай бұрын
I like how everyone is just focused on the man being portrayed and not the actor portraying him... This is Chance Kelly's KZbin channel... He's posting acting reels to get some exposure, but y'all ain't giving him any credit or complimenting him on how well he represented a real world person. You're all just talking about the real person.

You’re a true mensch RedFail, and I greatly appreciate your acknowledgement. But, whatever talk is evoked by this role and this project is fine with me. It was a great honor to portray my friend Col. Ferrando and I made so many friends in and out of the service, that all the talk, either way, is more than warranted. As are your comments. After all, this is America - the greatest nation on God’s great Earth. God bless you and stay frosty, my friend :) 🎬🇺🇸🎙️

He was a mediocre leader at best and frequently made terrible decisions. Losing the battalion colors alone should have been cause enough to relieve him of command.
