in the old days with a little spellvamp katarina was unstoppable. assasin style and healing on everything u can kill. the only thing was farming and cc, as long as u could farm and they didnt pick lux or any one with to much poke potential.

After the shunpo @ 10:48 that Katarina should have taken the gromp and farm botlane it would have made everythiing smoother into attacking the enemy nexus from different lanes. By doiing so the enemy champions would have been forced to split push in order to defend their base being attacked from multiple lanes which would have helped Katarina isolate enemy champions moving alone. Since she already has lifesteal at that point she wouldn't even need to back and just slay everybody on the enemy team 1 by 1 !
