Was looking for a similar cut down vetter front fairing for inspiration for my GL1000. Looks awesome! 🤘😎

That is the toughest looking Goldwing of all time! The attention to detail with this build is immediately apparent from any angle. I've never imagined this bike looking this awesome. That fairing looks so killer!

Okay it's great you did a perfect job but please folks don't say Honda should have built it this way because this is a full dress Touring bike not meant to be a style cruiser. I can go grocery shopping and get 4 bags full a watermelon and take it home on my 85 GL1200 LE
@blkbtch11 күн бұрын
So.. The Goldwing started as a non fair motorcycle. Built first as a muscle bike. This is last year 84 standard goldwing..never came with fairings. Please learn goldwing history before ripping on my bike with your opinion.... If i wanted to go to the store grocery shopping I'll take my car🤷

GL 1200 was always a full dress bike. If you want whine about a bike you don't have then that's your problem.

love it . this bike look awesome . did you do a lots of modification to fit the GL fairing ? thanks
@blkbtch3 ай бұрын
No just the fabrication on the windshield to make it look like a fairing The fairing itself was a Honda line accessory bought at the dealers for that particular bike so the brackets fit great
@yannprimero3 ай бұрын
@@blkbtch maybe a stupid question , but just to confirm .. this fairing wasn't stock ? i never seen a CB with this type ( i'm in Europe by the way ) i love the bikes you did , great work

Can you please tell me how many engine RPM's you're doing at an actual 60mph and actual 70mph? These bikes all had different gear ratios, as Honda couldn't seem to understand that people just needed an overdrive, not a race transmission.
@starseeddeluxe4 ай бұрын
Wow. Such beautiful colors, and it looks so clean and simple. One thing I've learned after years and years of Japanese motorcycles: CV carbs hate modifications. Have you ever put the bike on a dyno, to have the tuning checked? It might be worth doing. I'm sure you've already figured all of this out, but it's worth mentioning.
@blkbtch4 ай бұрын
When I tune I use exhaust temperature on each cylinder it's about the best way I have to do it

From 75 to 79 everyone was putting a fairing on these, and after that Honda themselves. Now all those fairings are coming off.
@blkbtch3 ай бұрын
Oh i use those fairings also! They look great after modification!
@rockets4kids3 ай бұрын
@@blkbtch They were fugly but they made long rides in foul conditions a whole lot more bearable!
@rockets4kids4 ай бұрын
I've got mixed feelings about keeping the front fairing. I definitely prefer the naked look of the original 75-79, but I'm sure this fairing makes the bike much more pleasant to ride at highway speeds.

It's funny you said that the color is the hardest decision I have typically on my builds I don't like crazy paint jobs I'm usually a single color kind of guy but I do like a lot of depth and a lot of interesting characteristics in the paint job so I choose candies and pearls and often blend them together in a solid color that when you see in the sunlight can often flip to other colors etc but thanks for the compliment
@jimglasco4 ай бұрын
Dude....this is like the 4th or 5th GoldWing I've seen that you did.......Not only are you giving them "new life", but you are giving them sex appeal and a shot at the fast life. No longer a pack mule withering away in some pasture. You have the eye for dimension and stance....
