So I bought a c200 second hand. Came with the all original handle and video mount but no screw to attach the video and mic mount to the holder. My question would be, does anyone know what scre I need? Having a hard time finding the correct one. Any help would be so very much appreciated.

I am having trouble getting my Thunderbolt Display to work. I have a usb hub thing and it’s not connecting to mini. Do you think a usb-c adapter would work or do you think my monitor just doesn’t work?

BTW I bought a used 10 hour C200 in 2024 for a little under 1900 bucks. 😂 waiting for the box. Its tons of bang for the buck.

Davinci offloads the demosaicing of the RAW sensor data to the GPU premiere only offloads other functions. Davinci has really efficient vectorization of the algorithms. CPU sucks for image processing vs GPU that has lots of simple hardware math engines that can work in parallel.

Excellent videos. More people need to see them and learn how to properly use the equipment. Too many people waste time watching empty calorie influencer videos that offer no knowledge.

I currently my teeth shooting with c100 II 8bit 420. I treat it like shooting film. I just use the EVF. So impressed with the C100II I bought a C200. When it arrived I am not going to attach the monitor, keep it compact and used to working with OVF/EVF.

Great video! Congrats on passing! I'd love to get certified as you have. How does DaVinci track how far along you are in the training videos till it gives you access to the test? Can you just watch the videos on their website or do you need to download each video? Just trying to understand how to get access to the test.

4 years on, I am after one. I have moved on to Sony, wich was a gift from my stepson. But I cant afford the lenses for them. But luck will have it that everyone else has moved on to miroirless, and are flogging off their EF lenses to buy RF glass, and now there are good converters from EF to E-mount. Making "L" quality lenses available for a poor amateurs like meself. We truely live in wonderfull times for aquiring quality glass, lol

Thanks for the video! What is the best way to overexpose by 2 stops but monitor at a lower exposure aka how I want it to look in post?
@BenSchubert6 ай бұрын
ISO400= 1Stop over ISO200= 2stops over
@AlecsmDP6 ай бұрын
@@BenSchubert So you would recommend overexposing at 800 then dropping down to 200 for monitoring? Instead of using a 2 stop under LUT?
@BenSchubert6 ай бұрын
If you have that lut you should do a comparison. They should be similar. This is how I shoot low light scenes and it gives me lots of room in post

Do you get a certification email or something? The exam is from the BlackMagicDesign website who create Davinci Resolve so it's got to be real right?

Thought I'd share this because it's important. I am a music school owner in Egypt. We were recently approached by the holder of the Davinci franchise in Egypt and were asked to become the first Davinci Resolve training facility. Since we usually teach music on screens and computers we are well equipped but when we got the requirements from Davinci Global we were struck with the "at least 1 certified davinci resolve trainer". We were going to get media professors to teach the course since they already teach davinci at most media universities in Egypt, however now we realised that the test is needed. This is important to understand the importance of the test on it's own.
@thenextpharaoh298511 ай бұрын
Important to note that based on my understanding on the subject you need to pass all their individual exams then do a seperate exam for the trainer course? correct me if I am wrong please because since I mainly do the editing for our content (been using davinci for nearly 6 years) I thought the fastest way was to get myself certified. If anyone can offer any help on the subject it would be greatly appreciated.

This video was VERY helpful. I've been trying to figure out why some ISO is noisier than others, Showing how all of the different ISO's are affected in the video was really helpful. I see so many videos that just say "Canon native ISO is 400" But your video showed me that 800 might actually be better for noise. Anyways. I hope you get 10,000 subs soon! Thank you for the information. Also, nice to see more BC content creators!

Hey Ben, fellow Vancouverite here. What is your current opinion of the C200? I'm currently looking to move away from my BMPCC 6k G2, and really like the idea of a C200, but also looking at FX3 and A7Siii as well. I mostly record YT videos, as well as corporate interviews and talking head work. Would you still recommend the C200 for this, or would you look at newer Canon/Sony cameras in 2023? Also, have you heard of a C200 mk ii coming out?
@BenSchubert Жыл бұрын
If you need full size xlr and autofocus I would buy a used C200. But for what you are talking about any of those cameras could be good. The FX3 and BMPCC G2 are great options. Used C200s are cheap for what they do but it’s either bad 8bit video or great 12bit 4K with high data rates. I only shoot raw even for big videos but to get smaller codecs I transcode to prores LT. Also the C70 is the C200mkII.
