Was für ein faszinierender Mensch und Regisseur. Ich habe selten so eine informative und liebenswerte Eröffnung eines wirklich guten Filmes erlebt, der die damalige Zeit so treffend aufzeigt. Unterhaltsam, spannend und doch irgendwie traurig. Ich bin immer wieder erstaunt, wenn nicht sogar begeistert, über die handwerklich gute Machart der meisten alten DEFA Filme. Ein sehenswertes Stück deutscher Zeitgeschichte. Ein sehr guter Film. Vielen Dank an den Regisseur Wolfgang Kohlhaase und seine Crew.

Mike Love’s voice was never that loud, so he was always given his own mic during group harmonies. Even in the studio, Mike was always given his own mic.

Der Mann ist echt eine Größe für sich und andere. Ich lese gerade die Biografie und es ist sehr schön zu lesen. Besonders der Anfang mit dem Inflagranti durch die Mutter war lustig. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Performed and recorded in the year 2012 as a nearly a cappella version by Brian Wilson's daughters Carnie and Wendy, and Chynna Phillips, the daughter of Michelle and John Phillips (co-founders of The Mamas and The Papas) and old school friend of Carnie and Wendy. Musicians become old (and then they should know when to stop live performances), but when they created good music (and "Good Vibrations" definitely belongs to this category), their work will survive. This was true for Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and will be true for Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, Keith Emerson and hundreds more. And if the work is even kept alive by your own daughters, this must be heaven on earth!

The St. Matthew Passion is magnificent! I saw this brief video presentation at the Bachhaus in Eisenach a few years ago and snapped a picture of the tenor - you've got to love he intensity! I always wanted to find the entire production. This helps! Thanks for posting!
