The instruments in background are what make Eddie Money's songs truly exceptional! Love that saxophone! Just listen to John Fogerty's "Rock and Roll Girl" or Rick Astley's "together Forever" and you will know exactly what I am talking about..... Exceptional music has an equal balance of good well composed lyrics, instrumental accompaniment, and vocals..... This song came out while I was still in High School so the song brings back tons of memories from my teenage years in rural Saskatchewan....!

It’s supposed to be cheeky like that with slight double entendres 😜 waggle as in “to set tongues wagging” (meaning to cause gossip), but the way it’s sung is deliberately misleading with a “ck” sound - a bit like whack (as in the expression “to whack off”) 😆 It makes you stop to listen again to make sure you heard what you think you heard 😜 Same with “shake her grass” 😂 So you can hear the ending as “you can waggle while I walk away” (as in, you can gossip/talk about her all you want as she walks away) OR you can hear it as “you can whack-le while I walk away” (as in, you can “go _entertain_ yourself”, because she’s not interested and she’s walking away… unless of course you can bring her one of those gifts she mentioned 😜👌🏻).

I was playing Boston casettes in my 72 Cuda 340 back in the early 80s and now at 57 im playing Boston CDs just as loud in my 71 Duster 340. Great rock always lives on and brings back fond memories .
