My mother was there at HJ 10 years ago. I took pictures. The place is still the same but worse. disgusting. It's a typical new south africa slum story. Thanks anc.

The politicians cannot survive without "apartheid" and they will ride that horse over and over and over. It is kept alive and you can see it with Malema etak. If somebody is caught pocketing VBS money its blamed on racism and apartheid. If Cyril is caught with millions in cashunder his bed, then it is racist to comment. If one cares for Africa than Palestine then you are a racist and long for apartheid. If black South Africans vet upset by the millions of illegal immigrants in SA or question the fact that nearly every barber or cell phone shop belong to a Pakistani or Algerian or Egyptian or Moroccon, some even with Afrikaans ID's, you are either a racist or a xenophobe or both. Or if we find a milktary training camp in SA training Libyans, the media and other dont address these issues, nope lets concentrate on apartheid and racism. Fix the language, punish those that commit racist acts, bring back accountability but that wont happen. Its convenient to divert attention away from our real issues, we have a corrupt government, our youth have no future, the government bankrupted every single parastatal, our kids education is pathetic and poor, we spend millions on usong Palestine as a election campaign effort wjile we have people tbat dont eat a meal every day while prisoners live in luxury

As black people, we have forgiven the white people for what they have done to us and we tried many times to intergrate with the whites but it seems that the white people are not interested

Interesting that these players are described as "african". This whole narrative is racist. You never hear the same silly argument about players from eastern europe playing in western europe. Or every american with a foreign background. Examples such as Miroslav Klose, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mezut Ozil etc. They are all products of the sporting environment in the countries they grew up in. Ask yourself - how many generations does your family have to reside in a country before they qualify as being natives?

Sorry but it’s untrue narrative… truth is, they might be born in Africa but definitely made in Europe….make the country first if sb wants to claim the narrative as in the title. Having heritage or being born doesn’t mean being made

Not the best analogy to use. Bok players play according to a game plan to win, ANC has their own and it was to 'rule until Jesus come' and have all the power. Coalitions are not their thing and this Government 'Unity' is their spin on a forced marraige they dont want to be in. They are a conniving lot that will do anything to stay in power.

Unconscious bias is an excuse for an extraordinarily spiteful exercise of tyranny. You can accuse anyone of anything evil, they cannot defend themselves, you can tell them what their true motives are, and instruct them on what they must do to repent. You have no grounds to defend yourself, and have no right to resist whatever punishment or correction is imposed on you. Because you are unconscious of it.

There is a huge gap between agencies and their clients - from culture to the understanding of industry terms, even business objectives, which should be the fundamental focus for all campaigns. There is a great opportunity to bridge the gap, bring clients closer to the work, and the work closer to clients while educating and mentoring stakeholders to improve in their vocations. As a planner, half my work is just writing a solid creative brief, that clients and the agencies can understand and utilize - It's amazing how this vital piece of the process is so often a laundry list, as opposed to a valuable part of the solution.

Very interesting. Got me really thinking, what Ahmed is actually doing with his consulting, is what every retired successful CEO does when retiring. Having years of expertise, they want the lips to the pie , but don't want to sweep the crumbs fallen to the floor . So they get a few non executive board positions to sit on for the year . Symbiotic relationships with the said companies, but non of the day to day hassles. Lucrative, yes. I suggest Ahmed look to international shores as well .

Transformation is not just about blacks working for White Agencies. The law of the land is anti-transformation. How do we have Multinationals regarded as BLACK. This is SICK! As an entrepreneur and an agency owner I am offended and oppressed by government policy! You can quote me on that Ashraf. REAL Black Owned agencies are systematically and racially excluded. Former white agencies that are now black on a stroke of a pen is insulting!!! The Charter is working against REAL Black Owned Agencies

If people who are outside the process don't understand what is being done behind the scenes, then the answer is quite simply to communicate more openly about what is being done. What we need is an open-doors industry forum where everybody can (i) be exposed to the facts and (ii) agree the way forward. Whether they are part of the ACA or not. This is not about transformation of the ACA is about transformation of the entire industry. We don't need TRANSFORMATION as an act of compliance to a Constitutional Obligation, we need complete industry TRANSFIGURATION as a spontaneous grass roots movement. Don't try and make the industry transform. Make the industry want to transform!
