A great piece of music, but the video was completely ruined by the enormous watermark! What were you thinking! 👎

Sorry, but this music has a very limited palette. Repeated arpeggios, add a note, subtract a note. That's about it. Gets boring after a few bars.

I saw them at Carnegie Hall in 1974. I did not know anything about their music. Fell in love. Now at 70, I get high just from listening to them. One of the best things about our generation is that we had real music. We protested for good causes. It is sad to see young people now demonstrating in support of terrorists. They have nothing else to do

I remember listening to Renaissance and this song in paticular for the first time... I was lying in my room with headphones listening to a cassete tape (my dad listened to his own stuff when he came from work so starting 18:00/18:30 I had to use headphones). Then someday and somehow I saw in a newspaper that this VHS was going to play in a university small cinema hall. I took my friend who had introduced me to the band and we went to see this performance on a small theater. That was in Rio de Janeiro, late 80's. A stupendous performance by an extremely talented band. Hugs from Brasil.

Tremendous band….quality songs and musicianship….their great misfortune was to try and find an audience just as the punk movement was gaining traction. And of course the punks utterly loathed this style of music. I concur….Renaissance should have found a much larger audience. RIP bassist Jon Camp who recently passed away.

It was a great night. You've posted a very good quality soundscape Apostolos. Thank you. Pity the BBC didn't do visuals that day. Dave Colquhoun a very able deputy for Geoffrey that night.

Now entering 2025, this GORGEOUSNESS from Renaissance is BEFORE 1975. So 50+ (Fifty+) years ago. Let that sink in for a moment. And the sound quality and content is EPIC.

You may not believe but I hear Renaissance for recreation and kinda therapy. Their Sound makes me calm and positive minded. To me, they were one of the real great Bands of the decade.

Thanks for uploading these videos. Annie Haslam is easily one of the top five British vocalist in the past 50 years (male or female) and because they weren't a 'singles' band Renaissance don't get the respect they were due for their influence at the time.

I have always preferred bands with female lead vocalists, but in my sixty plus years so far, I have only come across three who can literally stop me in my tracks. Most recent discovery is Floor Jansen (Nightwish). The other two are Amy Lee (Evanesance) and Annie Haslam. I was so lucky to see her perform live some time around 1980 at the Fulcrum Centre in Slough and their Carnegie Hall live album is still one of my favourites of all time.

Fanfuckintastic. I reckon bout during the lead guitar break of "Mandrake Root" that Cream said, "Ok these guys gotta go! They're stealing the concert!". And then that awesome rendition of "Help" sealed their fate.

Annie was hearing impaired and overcame that to be one of the greatest female voices with a five octave range and an angelic quality. One of my heroes who encouraged me as a hearing impaired singer to go for it. Lives in suburban Philly where she broke into the limelight thanks to WMMR. I worked in rock radio in the SF Bay Area and we loved the progressive bands.
