I hope atlas sound system is better quality than their well cars that are cheap plastic made at the same price point as well car sets that are all metal design that pull good even when empty.

Having worked lots of real intermodals, I'm gonna just take a wild guess that you have probably in excess of 10hpt (horsepower per ton) on that train. Of course, I'm not exactly sure how long it is, but just a guess. Most of our hot Z's rate around 4hpt, which is plenty for all but the heaviest grades. Actually, factors like wind are pretty significant. Beautiful models and prototypical speed!

It was made by a gentleman from my club and he got the plans from the internet. It sounds better in person, but with scale steam, that’s about as good as it gets. I was going more for the look than the sound quality. Guys mountain larger whistles under the chassis and they sound better. It’s referred as a Bangum whistle as I recall.
