Yeah, not to be one of those people, but the situation with Adam never sat right with me from the beginning. It just seemed too convenient and the fact that most of the public seemed so gung ho about declaring him guilty was off putting.

It's been great to get some context for this from someone who isn't Adam or X. The nature of what Adam did in 2017 is such that it's totally reasonable for someone (especially members of the general public) to believe he'd engage in similar behaviour again, but that fact also creates a scenario where anyone wanting to defame him would have a ready-made believable lie right at their fingertips. As a consequence, it's been pretty hard to just take either of them at their word. But this helps change that.
