daft question, but did you use water to clean it?
@theshedmonster9 жыл бұрын
i did ... but make sure its bone dry before you reoil it and put it back... ive got a k&n cleaning kit bout 20 quid from halfords now but last forever...had 3 bikes since the bandit.... my mates got her now
@joshuaallan17259 жыл бұрын
+pazz man thankyou for the reply so I need oil, good job I asked the question.
@theshedmonster9 жыл бұрын
Yes it will need re oiling but thats in the kit or buy it on its own from any performance parts shop... it is a reuseable filter i take it not a paper one
@joshuaallan17259 жыл бұрын
+pazz man I'm just about to have a look now, I'm hoping so.

Ok well let me know how ya get on
@MitchofLargs9 жыл бұрын
Thanks Pazz worked a treat. Couple of minor points. I had to disconnect the connection of the fuel gauge sender to allow me to lift the tank high enough. Also make sure you free up the two breather pipes and a bit of manouevering is required to get the fuel tap to clear the top of the frame. This on a 1200 Bandit. Thanks again.

I presume you've took the pipes off near the back of the tank? Mine has them and I can't see me being able to lift it fully as they're preventing it.

Oh I hate to see you go through this. I tried all of this, and finally just drilled the case. But now I only use it for How to video's. Remember if you use it in that configuration, you have no lens protection. Hope your lens doesn't get scratched. ie sand or gravel flying up.
@theshedmonster10 жыл бұрын
good point mate might see about making a lens protection....see what i can find at work..
@navythomas810 жыл бұрын
pazz man That is always my first and foremost thought. A new case is always cheaper than a new camera. TheSmyrnacowboy has the same cam also. I know he fought it for a long time trying to get it just so. On my cams, It just is Get it mounted and get using it. If it will protect from rain, then I am satisfied. I do not intend to ever go diving. Just my thoughts. Remember I ride year round.
@theshedmonster10 жыл бұрын
navythomas8 I ride all year round too although dont want to video in the rain...just had a look and the waterproof cases are quite cheap so its not much of an issue...only time i go out in the rain is to work because i have too....anyway mate i bet its good to have Barbie back at last
