Hi, I found your channel while searching for Texas gardening. I just wanted to mention I learned something about the Lady banks rose. Haven’t heard of the leap. Mine has just exploded with yellow roses this year. I’m letting it cover parts of the house over the kitchen windows . Had heard they are nicknamed house eaters :) I’m fine with it. Enjoyed seeing the new growth of your garden. Exciting times. I’m southwest of Fort Worth. Zone 8 ( a or b) Happy gardening !

How fast are the wax myrtles growing? I just planted some to have for screening.
@tinastexasgarden4 ай бұрын
They grow pretty fast. It says 3-5 ‘ per year and I’d say that’s about right. After they get some growth on them I keep them trimmed in dome/topiary style as much as possible. But if you are planting for screening it will happen quick 😊

I am so glad to see another Texas gardener on youtube. I live in North Austin and have been gardening many years. I still find this soil (or lack there of) and weather quite a challenge to deal with each year. My husband and I do all the gardening and maintenance in our yard....no one else on my cul-de-sac maintains their yards themselves. And as we are getting up there in years, I can see in the not too distant future where we may have to call in some help.....my knees are awful, but I am stubborn and won't give up yet. Thanks for your tour. I like the diversity of plants you have collected. I have many of the same types of plants in my yard. I will be watching for your next video....and welcome to Texas!
