I've been watching classic educational films for years. This is one of the few channels that constantly uploads ones I've never seen- like this film. Great work!

My lord that mother is a very anti social person. She isn’t helping her daughter here at all. I feel bad for her. Even her husband seems to be tip toeing around asking these questions and back then women pretty much did whatever their husbands told them to so it’s a bit odd to see it in this retro film. But it’s also sad that the mother is so shy that’s why she is like that. It’s good that her husband tries to help her.

My mom was Marion. I heard the horror stories from her. She was an early '50s teen. Hated Betty Anderson. Said she was like the snotty girls she knew. From what I've seen kid socially adjusted . Come from SA parents. With my research these kids parents were active in town. Im 65 was a late 70s teen. We had nerds rah rahs jocks burn outs. I was just isolated. Was bullied in jr high. By hs just kept to myself. Took the bus home. Never went to any reunions. Are there really kids who like hs. I think that period sucks😂

This film was shown to us in driver's ed back in the 1980s; I had no idea it was from the '70s.

It's very typical of the fifties that the principal wouldn't even check to see if perhaps Howard had a legitimate concern about his grade. He just assumed Howard was being unreasonable, and gave him a lecture.

Actually they only let him drive the tractor that Saturday. He said he only had the weekend to visit them and he sure wasn't going to do any tractoring on the Sabbath

Never belonged to any clique. Wasnt interested so much into what the others did, and they treated me by expelling me from the social get Togethers.. not directly bullying, but close enough. Tried it many times, never could get a grip with "gangs". So my social skills are basic and I'd rather enjoy my own company. Took me a long time to accept I wont be like the "others". You dont have to be, but it can make life a lot Harder. I feel the girl.
