Who takes the first step? Should there be a revelation of your offense like Isaiah had?
@digitaldiscipleship26 күн бұрын
I think Jesus is always taking the first step toward us! That is the amazing thing about His grace! And when I say that repentance starts with the heart, that is what I mean. It's where we realize that we have missed the mark and we need Jesus to cleanse us. But Jesus is always stepping toward us!

He sure seems ok with what others do to me.... A corrupt judge who wanted to adopt my daughter, the sheriffs dept who did the good ole boy system. Yet he lets them live the good life for decades at the expense of others. Its obvious he cares more about the souls of reprobates than the lives of those who are their victims of corruption of power. Forgive, then everything is forgiveable including the acts of violence on others. Turn a blind eye and forgive....

I'm so sorry this has been your experience. There are many authors of the Psalms who share your frustration about injustice. It is hard to make it make sense when we see the just experiencing injustice and the unjust seeming to be promoted and successful. What I know about faith is that it's believing in what is unseen. I believe in a just and faithful God who loves us always and is working for our good-even though there is evil in the world now. God is making all things new and all things right in His time. That being said, I'm so sorry you have seen this kind of evil up close and in person in your life. I can't imagine how hard that has been for you and your family. I'm so sorry.

I am thankful that God remembers our make-up, that we are created beings always in need of His mercy and grace. I'm forever thankful that God is patient with me, and that He wants me to know that He is faithful and just.

Hey there! Thanks for engaging with us here. If by brainwashed you mean that we are completely sold out to following Christ and surrendered to His leading in our lives, then I guess I would agree with you there! Jesus has changed our lives and we will never be the same. I only pray that one day you will find that saving grace as well. Thanks for visiting our page and expressing yourself here.

Jesus is a fictional character.
@digitaldiscipleship2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thanks for your response and engaging with us here. If Jesus was a fictional character, He would definitely be the most influential fictional character in history! Nearly everything and everyone has been touched by His presence since He came to earth. No other fictional character has generated this much debate and controversy in all of history that I have seen! I respect your opinion and thank you for feeling open enough to express it here.
@EvilXtianity2 жыл бұрын
@@digitaldiscipleship If you have evidence that the Bible figure known as Jesus existed, provide it. However, it is an absolute fact that there is literally no contemporaneous evidence that Jesus ever existed. Paul made up the Jesus fiction in 48 AD after the Daniel 9:25 prophesy failed to fulfill. Shouldn't we expect that if God was walking around for thirty years that the locals would have noticed? Fun fact: none of the Gospel authors witnessed Jesus.

@@digitaldiscipleship _"No other fictional character has generated this much debate and controversy in all of history that I have seen!"_ That's for sure. That fiction caused you to literally worship ritual human sacrifice.
@EvilXtianity2 жыл бұрын
@@digitaldiscipleship I condemn ritual human sacrifice, rape, and cannibalism; Christians literally worship them and their savior is a zombie (an undead corporeal revenant created through the reanimation of a corpse). Ritual Human Sacrifice- God sent one of his sons to be tortured and killed as a sacrificial offering (a practice adopted from Paganism). Christians worship a father who sent one of his sons to be tortured and executed (and literally called it as a sacrifice) as part of a ritual intended to appease a god (in Christian theology atonement refers to the forgiving of sin through the sacrifice of Jesus). Romans 8:32 "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all." 1 Corinthians 5:7 "Christ our passover is sacrificed for us." Romans 3:25 "God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement." Romans 5:8 "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." Hebrews 10:10 "We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son." 1 John 4:10 "This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." ~~~~~~~~~~~ Rape- God raped ("overshadowed") Mary while she was engaged to Joseph and while God was married to Asherah, Aholah and Aholibah (who were sisters). God's sons also "ravished" human females and impregnated them. God sent one of his representatives to tell Mary (who was between ages 12 and 14 at the time), that even though she was engaged to Joseph and frightened by the encounter, that God would impregnate her. A child cannot consent to pregnancy by an authority figure. The Bible uses the word "overshadow", which is the Greek word, "επισκιάζω" (episkiazó). Some Christians interpret "overshadow" to mean that some sort of mystical cloud or divine wind hovered over Mary and then she became pregnant. But the literal translation of the word is, "to overshadow, to use influence upon by a looming presence (skiá)" and figuratively means "to invest with preternatural (extraordinary, exceeding what is normal) influence". So, the "overshadowing" was God using what the Bible describes as the "extraordinary" coercion of his greater power and status to dominate and overpower Mary's desires and will by forcing his own desire to force unwanted sexual contact from frightened Mary with the intent of impregnating her. The word Mary uses to accept the command to be impregnated is "ginomai", which means "let it not be, far be it from, God forbid". In Mary's praise and thanksgiving to God in Luke 1:48 she says, “God has lifted up his humble maidservant.” The Greek word for “humble” is the same one that the Septuagint (the old Greek version of the Hebrew Bible) uses to describe the rape of Dinah in Genesis and other incidents of sexual violation. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Cannibalism is a core doctrine of Christianity- John 6:53 "Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever gnaws my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a difficult and harsh and offensive statement. Who can accept it?" From this time, many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him."

@@EvilXtianity You have obviously done a lot of research here and have strongly held opinions. I'm not going to try to prove you wrong. I don't think many people are convinced of something by debate and argument. That is simply not productive. What I can tell you is that we are people called to "faith." Faith is believing what you can not see and knowing it to be true. So I'll express to you what I know to be true based on my faith and belief. There is no "proof" for some of what you bring up because I take it on faith - that is the nature of faith. The evidence that Jesus existed is all over culture throughout the years. In Acts 5:33-38, one of the doubters of the Gospel came to the realization that if Christianity was not true, it would just disappear like past movements had been shown to do. But if it was true, they would be shown to be fighting against God and unable to stop the movement. This is exactly what has happened with those who follow Jesus. The truth has power and can not be stopped. Jesus is alive today and living in and with each of us through the Holy Spirit. This is what I believe and know to be true. And whether or not you believe it doesn't make it any less true. By the very fact that we are having this conversation, I know that the Holy Spirit is working on you to bring you to a place of faith in Him. In the attempt to prove the Bible wrong, you're thinking about Jesus and God is drawing you closer to Him. This very conversation is proof of the power of Jesus and the fact that He is alive and influencing thoughts and actions 2,000 years after living on the earth. I'm praying God continues touching your heart and you continue grappling with all of this until you come to a saving faith in Jesus. God is the one who can overcome even the best argument and His love conquers all. Thanks again for reaching out.
