When will some people learn to deflate tyres when offroading? My my, amatures!😁 One needs to know one's vehicle...

Unfortunately, the nearshore sea life in San Diego has been decimated. There is nothing left to see if you know better, and the dredging nails the coffin shut every time they do it.

There’s something satisfying about rolling through nature in silence as compared to 100+ decibel pipes screaming. I love my loud exhaust and all, but I go into nature because I love the peace and quiet. An EV truck would just add to the experience

I fly over this mountain nearly every day. Always wondered what it was like down on that road. Cybertruk is cool but still gets too much attention. I will wait a few years when it’s just another pickup and people relax about its styling.

What happens if you are driving up the hill and there is another vehicle driving down the hill> Is there enough room for 2 vehicles? Some parts of the dirt road look a little narrow.
@OutdoorsocalАй бұрын
Yes, it's tight in places, so someone will need to back up to a wider portion. If I see someone coming and I'm near a wide section, I'll wait for them so we can pass.

@OutdoorsocalАй бұрын
I believe you can only drive street legal vehicles on the trail. Probably good to check with the national forest service. As for parking, there are some pull offs along the way and maybe some places to park along the gravel road near the entrance, but I'm not sure about the legality.

Yeah, all the time and effort spent on video work, yet didn't even consider tire pressure or locking diff settings, and left the tonneau open the entire time. Kind of strange for a channel focused on the outdoors and offroading.

I grew up in PQ in the 80s. In 1985 I started mountain biking at 10 and have done so continuously for 38 years. I was part of the group who’d fight the equestrian group just to have access to the trails from my house on the very eastern side. We fought from loosing access to single track next to the creek to loosing all access. I was always considerate to horse people, but all the land rights fights made you hate horse people. In the 80s that upper land was illegal alien encampments and I’d do 40 miles on a rigid because FS didn’t exist. When they outlawed mountain bikes on single track there wasn’t a ranger that could dream of catching me as a normal ride for me was from that Canyon to the top of Black Mountain. I’d love to bring my bike out from S.C. and ride that whole system! I took my kids on a short hike in 2022, but I’d really love to ride it with a high-end bike. So cool to watch a video of a place that’s been around since the infancy of the sport. There was nothing quite like rolling through the tent villages back in the day and wondering if they’d try to rob ya. It was the Wild West!
@Outdoorsocal2 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing that history. Didn't know the part about the problems between bikers and equestrian. The problem nowadays is a lot of the private land around the park is being actively developed. Sad to see the wild area get smaller. But, the trails are still fun, fun, fun.

cyber truck is the most American made vehicle .It can be fueled with solar panels on your roof instead of oil controlled by multinational companies. It is not optimized for off road like some bead locked aired down jeeps but it does better off-road than most road legal trucks and is very efficient.
@TroySavary2 ай бұрын
Until the poorly shielded battery pack hits a rock and the truck burns. Or the fragile cast aluminium frame breaks. Or the undersized lower control arm snaps. Or it hits a puddle and short circuits.

@@TroySavary There have been some unbelievable cyber truck crashes. I think, pointing at the battery as poorly shielded is evidence that you may have no idea what you're talking about.
@TroySavary21 күн бұрын
@BrianSFischer It burst into flames from a rock hitting the bottom of the truck. No way you can spin that as adequate protection. One Cybertruck has also completely died from hitting a puddle. It will go down in automotive history as one of the worst boondoggles. It is Tesla's Edsel.

4:25 Pro Tip: If you are not athletic, and in very good physical shape, DO NOT go down that other path. It is very tough: extremely slick, as stated in this video. This is due to the chalky material of the bluffs. I went down this way two weeks ago, and will never use that path again. I saw four people wipeout going down it, in the very steep portions. In some portions, there is nothing solid to step on: the earth gives way under your feet as you walk down certain areas, even with hiking shoes (which I was wearing.) I wiped out in one spot, and still have a huge bruise on my left leg. And then in another part, I had to slide down on my butt. So my entire body was covered in chalky dirt for the rest of the day. ...It was better a few years ago, but much of it has eroded, and now it is just too difficult for the vast majority of people.

Hey thinking about attempting this tomorrow! What psi did you air down too? Also this would be my first truck trail anything I should know ?
@Outdoorsocal5 ай бұрын
@Brandon-nn8tx I drop down to 15 PSI or so. Other than suicide hill. It's all good first-timer terrain. Suicide Hill isn't super technically challenging, but you don't want to get sideways, as a rollover would be bad. Have fun out there! Don't pick up any hitchhikers.
