Milan Babu, your channel's a treasure trove of timeless music. Ustad Munwar Ali Khan Saab's singing had a very distinctive quality - it was restrained, pristine and therapeutic... qualities that one wouldn't typically ascribe to his illustrious gharana. He was one of the few masters who could achieve more with less... no verbal calisthenics, no hyper showcasing of craft. It's a pity that he didn't really get his much-deserved place under the sun. Thank you for sharing his magnificent music! God-bless

very very true Roy sir :) typically it is very difficult to avoid getting compared with "Bade" saheb. So, invariably, no matter how good and original you are (which he was) - you tend to be ONLY compared and not avoid the dark shadows of the greats..its a pity. Same with Pt.Mukul Shivputra ji, Pt. Rajshekhar Mansur ji... most of them actually ..

I heard that till his fathers death Ustad nvr gave Independent concert , bt only as saha -gayak, it is a way of giving respect to his father nd Teacher, I think so. ( That’s y there is less recordings of this Ustad ) one of my v. fvrt artist ( other one Pt. Abhisheki ) presenting an equally beautiful Raga….
