Cutest moka pot on the planet ! 😍 Isn't it a bit fastidious to clean, though ? I suppose you should pour cold water into the pot right after you have served the coffee, so the milk doesn't dry in the system ? Just asking... 8 years later, lol.

My mum had one of these back in the 70's. Great to use, but a pain to clean, Don't know if any filter papers are made for these either (mum didn't have them back in the 70's) Made great coffee though, and was a bit of an entertainment thing back then watching it do it's stuff as coffee makers, here in the UK, weren't the thing back then, coffee came in jars (instant!)

Great video and the clear pitch portion of the Mukka pot made it very nice to watch what it does. I do have a question, if you don't put any milk into the pot and make just plain coffee instead, is there a healthy crema made? Does the coffee taste like espresso then? I wonder how the Mukka pot would make plain coffee vs the Brikka model?

Clearly, I'm very late to this party. But I'm reading the VERY comprehensive history of coffee, _Uncommon Grounds_. Seems like the Silex vacuum brew method took root better in Europe than in the US. How do you like it relative to, say, French press? (By the way, fascinating to a coffee geek!)
@antilogism10 ай бұрын
Through my watching a lot of old movies and through magazines they seemed to be a big hit here in the US through the 30s and 40s but many still used a pot on the stove. Silex and others were made with Pyrex and had their logo on the glass. Auto electric percs took over through the 50s & 60s, then drip was big in the late 70's through 90's, with help from "Mr. Coffee" machines. It seems that often one gets a start on a method from wedding presents. Most people I discuss coffee with in 2023 still use drip with a paper filter at home. Affluent relatives in coastal California use pod machines and coffee-shops mostly. I'm never sure what method I like since they all yield uniquely enjoyable characteristics.

You should add the coffee at the beginning, and you should not be touching the filter rod !

It is a true espresso. Espresso just means pressurized water being forced thru coffee grounds to produce a short more concentrated shot of coffee ☕️ 👍

Did you know the tarheel logo is based on the tar river and is not a racist symbol? It might have been enhanced by "iron man" jets on Lumbee heels and state of north Carolina heels and tva heels.

Thank you 😊 I ordered one after watching and it arrived today. Unfortunately I didn’t get the nice clear one like you found as those are only available as used at about double the price of a new ‘cow pattern’. It made a nice cup of cappuccino and the foam (almond milk) is yummy 😋

This amazing pot makes one of the BEST cups of coffee. I always took my alum pot camping. We were in the middle of no where and this guy casually said he was craving A capucino. I made him one of these; A truly happy camper! So simple to make on a camp stove and and such a treat in the morning.

I bought one of these a few years ago. Without fail, every time I use it I get a boiling milk volcano all over my kitchen. I know your going to say I am heating to quickly or for too long. I have experimented with all those variables and still get the milk mess. I’m done with it. I love the other products they make, just not this one. Great video by the way. I’m glad someone is having success with that thing.

I've had mine for years without the problems you indicate. I wonder if the valve is faulty.
@lovekai882 жыл бұрын
I had a similar problem happen to me one time and I discovered that the rubber ring had gotten hard and was cracking so I didn’t have a proper connection when twisting the two parts together. I threw it out and bought a new one and that solved my problem. For 18 years I’ve had a lot of success with it, but every once in a while I do have to replace it.
