I can still remember going to the stadium as a kid with my dad for supercross in the 2stroke days. They kept the roof shut during practice and walking in to the smoke and the smell and the sound was incredible! Was 20 years ago and I'll never forget it

haha dude get your facts straight. RC was contemplating retirement at the end of 2004. but an injury set him back half a season which actually gave him the edge to go for 2005 and 2006 full time - winning both the SX and MX titles both years beating stewart no problems.

Have you read the rules? They're allowed twice the displacement of two strokes. That's why. Two strokes killed off four strokes back in the 60's because they were allowed the same displacement and absolutely waxed the four strokes. The AMA is at the mercy of the Japanese manufacturers. They make more profit from four strokes, so the AMA makes rules that favor four strokes.

i road my moms 100 four stroke :) one thing i like about a four stroke is that it has more consistant power. But if you know how to keep a 2 stroke screamin' then hell yea choose that two stroke, because they are fassssssst

First off, I'm not a heavy weight. I'm about 5'10" and 170lbs. Second, I've raced mostly motocross in my career but now I do mostly harescrambles. I have 2008 sx/f450 chassis with a 1992 KTM 550 2 stroke wedged in from a DX/C, which was not an easy task since it's made for a linkage chassis, mounts aren't the same, it's right hand drive, and the whole project took about 6 months. No 450 or any other 4 stroke has been able to compete on the track or the woods even with the wide ratio box.

i llike both 4 stroke and 2 stroke but 2 stroke i like better there way quicker and you cant argue that they dont sound better then a 4 stroke bc 2 stroke so awsome

so your a trail rider im guessing? If so then thats why you think 4 strokes aren't good, coz you need torque, because you cant keep moment as easy. And i probly cant im not a big Heavy weight :)
