I agree, what’s the point of having the tool if you cannot figure out how to use it?

I would need a step by step video how to use i1 Scanner delivered with my Epson V850 Pro. Your description is only lot of words. It is better once to see than a hundred times to hear. Make a clear video how to use it! Thank you.

Now if I save a workflow in the Display QA Reference, it will create a *.mxf file, but when I open it again it generates an error message saying: "Invalid measurement file". It looks like the i1Profiler is not compatible with itself?

Shame theres no $100 solution for soho users that still like a good print. with home users moving to tablets most homes no longer have a printer.

Good overview of a process that has very few instructions online. QI: I see you mention deactivating colour corrections and conversions I1scanner / profiler says " The target must be scanned with all color management and automatic settings disabled" Is this talking about all x-rite settings including my monitor profiles that have made with the i1 display pro. Or is this talking about the scan software like Epson scan ( the only setting I can find is under configuration - color) or Silverfast 9 SE (which I an not sure which menu does the same thing) Q2. I also have Silverfast 9 SE. I can not find any way of either creating a profile using x-rite from within the program, or a way of importing a X-rite created profile Q3.In X-rite I1 scanner it mentions scanning the target at 16 bit, but I have a Epson V850 and its program only has a option for a 24 bit or 48 bit scan. what do I do here, will it make a difference if I used 24 bit scan

Hmmmm, when I sleet 'Profile my display' from the ColorMunki Design software in OS X it does nothing. I can't seem to get to anything like the screen shown and the online help mentions nothing about how to do it either. Perhaps user videos should be done by users rather than engineers.

Thank you! I think I understand when this Dual Illuminate option would be used in my particular case: I'm doing a Portrait shoot in the home of the subject. I'm using 3 flashes for a controlled lighting. There is no direct sunlight entering the room through the windows, but daylight is creating additional ambient lighting that will affect the overall exposures. Therefore, (if I understand this correctly), I would first shoot the color checker passport tool with the ambient daylight just as it is and without my flashes on. Then, I would shoot the Passport tool again, but this time, with all the flashes on as well as the ambient daylight that will exist during the shoot. Those two shots would be what I use to build the dual illuminate profile and then be applied to the entire shoot, right? If I'm right, what I've done was to single out the two existing light sources for the software to isolate and analyze. The ambient daylight is offered separately for the software to sample. If I would have then shot the Pass Port tool in a completely dark room with only the flashes, that may not render an accurate sample for the second of the two shots. That's because the combination of the flash's & ambient daylight together create a unique light source and the condition which would ultimately exist during the shoot. I'm really telling the software what the final light is comprised of i.e. Natural & Artificial sources and the percentages of each. If you have a moment, would you please confirm whether I'm right or I'm wrong? Thank you, and thank you for the tutorial! Rich

Under Preferences, what technology type do I use for a MacBook Pro? The booklet that comes with ColorMunki is far from informative. Very scarce in explaining settings. It mentions nothing about first setting your preferences like this video suggests. When I contacted X-Rite, after measuring for Ambient lighting, I was told not to use that setting at all…For first time novice users, the booklet tells us to use the Easy setup, yet X-Rite tells me to use Advanced. Very disappointed at the fishing for answers I've had to do with their "simple" set-up.

I cannot finish my calibration of my iMac with the ColorMunki Display Calibrator. It gets to the SAVE part, then gives me an error message that there was a problem with measurement (and won't go to the next page). It says click "OK" then go to "Try Again", which I've done, countless times. It won't go past this error message and save the profile. I see no FAQ online to remedy this. help?

I like to rename them at the same time I convert them to DNG and be downloading them onto my hard drive at the same time too. I've been trying to figure out how I can do this in Bridge without having to go to that same dialogue box. I know how to do batch rename in Bridge, but I haven't been able to figure out how to convert to dng after I have already put the photos onto my external hard drive.
@Squatelbasher11 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to do this after the photos have been put onto your hard drive?The problem I run into a lot is having more than one photo session on a memory card. It WOULD BE easy to just un-click the ones I don't want in the advanced dialogue box shown in this video if I didn't have hundreds of photos on my memory card.I don't want to spend hours unclicking photos.Also, I tried putting them into folders within the memory card, but the window does not give you an option to click through folders.

Hi, how are you? Thank you for your video. I bought an eye one display 2 to calibrate a few monitors to match my laboratory that prints in sRGB (Fuji Frontier). Should I open the sRGB icc profile in the second step "please define your target setting" and then make the calibration? I've allready tried doing it that way and the final calibration gave me a blue tinted image, then i re-calibrated it using the medium withe 6500 and 2.2 gamma with the recomended luminance and got a more accurate img
