You have very detailed information on how to do this. Thank you for such a wonderful presentation.

So I could likely use this to apply a strip of ribbon to a garment, and it should hold in place even if I want to stitch down the edges of the ribbon? P.S. Beautiful ring you are wearing. Hope your finger healed well.

I usually just zig zag the edges of my fabric before washing. The thread encases the edges and it doesnt fray at all

What did you use for the fusible webbing? And….any reason you used this mat instead of the fabric mat? Thank you!
@friscoo499726 күн бұрын
I ruined one mat with steam a seam 2 lite, maybe because I didn’t adhere enough? But…I tried pellon 805 wonder under, and got it to work. Leaving this here in case it helps anyone else. I also used her pressure setting of 1100 with quilting cotton as my material.

How is this different when you are using a pattern w/o any darts? I have a VERY simple jacket pattern that I need to upsize thru the bust & tummy for a dear friend. It doesn’t have any darts, I did a mock up in the largest size of the pattern, the sleeves fit fine, so I don’t want to mess with them. Also don’t need to add any length, she’s’ “vertically challenged.”😉 Also wondering about adding a bit of fullness into the back piece?

Also if you put a piece of white paper behind the needle, you can see the eye of the needle to thread the needle.

If you don’t want to buy a new ironing board cover ($20), you might consider making one…. You only need to buy $60 worth of fabric! 😂 Yeah… once upon a time it might have been cheaper to DIY…

Excellent... now i need how to adjust a princess line seam. I have difficulty getting the seam over the apex of my bust.
@Jennifer859872 ай бұрын
I tried absolutely everything and I can't agree with you that this tool is great and/or that you don't need to adjust the fabric while cutting ... it's a waste of money, don't buy it, circles cut by hand are by far better

Loved the entire video and the little tips and tricks along the way. You are a great teacher, I felt like I was right there with ya. I actually saw the whole thing! Funny, my most stressful part is figuring out what pieces to put together. So I don't look too much like a clown lol.

Thank you for posting the tutorial video. You are an awesome teacher! I usually don't like to watch videos when sewing, I prefer written instructions. This video was very easy to follow and I made the box corners on the pillow with no problem. Your instructions were very simple and to the point.

Thank you for saving me from searching through "pages" of straight pin types! Worked with some multi-use pins today. Was not happy when several of the ball heads started falling off. Will look for glass and flower headed pins.
