Big water in Rosario sometimes, I lived and fished out of Bellingham for 17 years, know that area very well. Only recently had to move to the South PS near Des Moines. Some of the most dangerous water is between Lummi and Squalicum Hbr. Next time, find the underwater "land bridge" between Portage Island and Eliza, about 30-70ft of water, shade to Portage and you will find good crabbing there. Plus, closer to the Harbor

Thanks for the tip! I did some filming for a new video on Lummi Island a few weeks ago. Lovely place

Love the honesty of pulling up that many crabs and knowing you may only be lucky enough to get 2-3 good ones that are big enough mad respect 🫡

Yep! That's the way it goes sometimes. Our first two parts of the day were both half full of females and smaller crab we had to throw back.

My uncle drabk from a seemingly pristine mountain stream here a few years ago. Noted an odd twange to the water, but thought nothing of it. A little ways up the river, he found a partially eaten coyote floating against some rocks. Didn't get sick or anything, but was understandably grossed out by that.

Beautiful! Do you find many ticks in that area? My dad took a tumble down a little slope recently trying to hightail it back to the truck after seeing a bear, and ended up with several on him after crashlanding into a shrub. This was east of where you are here, but I think he's reexamining his vacation plans. He's a bit jumpy about ticks now.

Just had to peel one of these off a potted tomato plant. It was actually thick enough and strong enough that the water from the sprayer wasn't getting through. Never saw the beastie that made it, though.

That sort of sight used to creep me out. Until one day I was walking through Kah Tai Lagoon in Port Townsend and saw probably 200 mosquito husks caught in a similar web.

I know 😂 One of the things I love about watching the Tour de France is when they show old chateaus and villages that make all of the buildings in the United States seem like infants.
@froginprogress85104 ай бұрын
I can't help but wonder what dark things that building has been potential witness to in past cases. Port Townsend has those things at 1:20 with the glass squares in the sidewalk in a couple places. Or at least they look similar. The glass is purple. A few areas of the underground are still used, but I think a lot of it got closed to the public after the Nisqually quake. Some of the bigger brick buildings sustained cracks.
@CurtisPNW4 ай бұрын
I've also seen them at Pioneer Square in Seattle when I did the Underground Tour, which I recommend. They have those glass squares in Fairhaven (Bellingham) as well.
That little stumble in the curve as momentum tries to continue you into the outfield has caused many a stumble over the years! Or just outright faceplanting (raises hand sheepishly). Thought he was going to get nailed by the ball for a second.
