Hey man what kind of bait fish were you using to catch the red fish ? I go to destin every year and ive been trying to catch them at that jetty and couldn’t figure out what to use to catch them

You live in destin? Im a bass and card fisherman from austin tx and ill be out here for a week this week, where and what were you using? 2hrs after high and low tide? And in front and behing of sand bars? Whats the best patterns you noticed?

Awesome video. Looks like the fishing is great right now. I’ll be there in 2 weeks. I usually kayak down to the west jetty and in the flats of the bay. Any tips you have would be appreciated! You obviously know what you’re doing.

What time of day would you say is best? Should I be in the bay during high tide and go to the jetties when the tide is heading out, or vice versa?

Bryce Mayfield I don’t suggest trying to get to the jetties if the tide is changing. Pretty much a river.

My mom lives down there. When we all graduated she moved there. That would be so cool man. I’ve always wanted to learn more about fishing down there. Been fishing twice and caught a few snappers and a jack craval! Super cool!!!!

There isn't much pompano around right now. You are better off catching redfish around the bridge or jetty.

danmonsterhog hahahah as a local ive learned that you just have to be okay with other people fishing right beside you, and if you arent then fishing the jetties isnt for you, not saying yiu directly but so hat everyone planning their vacation knows. and please dont litter, and read up on your fishing laws, there are size limits to keep fish, and there is also a limit to how many you can keep. its a 500 DOLLAR FINE for every illegal fish you keep, depending, they can also take your fishing gear, wildlife will go out on those rocks. EVERYONE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE TOWN YOU VACTION IN AND ITS PEOPLE PLEASE!

A tip for sand fleas is don't submerge it in water. A bucket with some wet sand is enough. If you submerge them in water like that they will die. Just a tip, great vid:)
