I hope they make a update that allows you to start in human form & build a meter that allows you to Morph & inflict more damage & take less. Also including the rangers individual, signiature weapons would be a nice touch & a few signature moves for each character as well. Balance the characters also, so the red & green rangers are stronger but slightly slower, the pink & yellow are faster but inflict less damage, & then something for the black & blue rangers that make them stand out as well. A few minor additions could put this on par with Shredders Revenge IMO

Thanks for the review! CrossCode is great, though I wish you'd show off a bit of the story/character interactions and different forms of combat here. Speaking of, I do kinda take issue with the review's stance on the combat gameplay. Of course, you can go through most of the game just whittling down enemies with the basic ranged projectiles (like in this video), and of course it'll be boring, but CrossCode gives you the option to vary it up with different Arts (which also change form with the element and charge level!) if you so wish, and I think that's the bigger takeaway here -- there's plenty of depth to the combat _for those who are interested in exploring it_ .

FYI, the game's since received a *Plus Pack* DLC with more dungeons and different playable characters! Also a lot of patches, and a port to Steam. Might be worth revisiting, if you have the time! Thanks for the review. I really like the Shiren games and appreciate that we have a new one in 2024, not much else like it out there :)
