My understanding of the history of junk journaling is that it started in the 1800s with people collecting photos and mementos into scrapbooks and commonplace books. I think the junk part came about with people who couldn’t afford books putting together used papers into booklet form. I hope that is right.

Wonderful ideas for making so much interest, and great impact on using up what you have! Thank you for sharing. I love how you finished up the cover wrap, it is fantastic! I am here in the USA, Idaho, last winter it dropped down to -40 degrees! Warmer this winter for sure.

collect old used muffin tins to sort by size, or color, or texture. or use big used cookie trays, to pour it all out, and then sort into muffin tins, or small glass condiment jars with lids that you can display on your shelf. Love the use of buttons you chose and that tin is fabulous! enjoying your chat!

Oh what a fantastic idea I have little glass jars and candle jars I can use for the smaller buttons then keep my big buttons in the tin ..I do love the tin I was so lucky to find it and full of buttons someone had collected over the years . And thank you sometimes I worry I chat too much ❤️
