Hahaha 😜 what is this? From a written source? It is rediqulous. Never been danced like that in Denmark. We are living people - not 'puppets' and we sing a song too as well. Never seen anything like this 😅

If you don't know the steps to this activity: 1. Walk or skip around the circle then clockwise 2. If you hear a high note lift your leg up 3. If you hear a low note put your leg back down 4. You can also lift any of your body parts up or down as well

My wife and I did this in clogging class in the early 80s. It was great fun and wonderful exercise.

A wonderful demonstration, and a revelation because our Breton folk dance session in Cornwall had for years been doing a simplified version of this and calling it "Cochinchine" ( part of colonial.Vietnam) from French souces, and nobody knows why it was so called. ( See recent clip below) kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWSXanesn66iZqMsi=cNLC54ZdhmKI2msL So we can pick up this standard version and see how it goes. What is the melody please ? It has a great klezmer/ hora sound, especially with the clarinet/ Accordion.

I agree, it's very similar. Maybe a variation or someone who tried to recreate it from memory but didn't quite remember

WOW! From México to the world: a polka composed in 1916 by Quirino Mendoza y Cortés under the name "Jesusita en Chihuaha"; abreviated in English a J.C. polka and evolved into Jesse Polka. Nice performance of Mexican traditional music!!! I love it when people dance ir with tradicional clothes.

As an Oklahoman/Texan I can clarify the song that goes with the Oklahoma Mixer is "Texas Straw", I'm honestly just learning about this as this is something no one does in either Texas or Oklahoma.

Tico-Tico no Fubá é um choro composto por Zequinha de Abreu. Ficou imortalizado na voz de Carmen Miranda, e com o tempo, tornou-se uma das canções brasileiras mais conhecidas do mundo.
