i like to believe that, as a kid, Les wanted to play the drums and the guitar and the space laser, but his parents couldnt afford all three instruments so they got him a bass instead...and the rest is history...

Fun Fact: Les Applied to be Metallica's bassis but he was rejected because they say he would not be able to perform at his best, which was way better than what metallica wanted.

Ok. Xylophone wins the solo. HOWEVER, not gonna lie... I absolutely love and respect Les... but I was getting some Phish vibes from his solo. - Also a compliment.
