Congrats on finishing your first semester! I also graduate in May but it feels like lightyears away. I just wanted to know how you find time to review previous chapters & skills, study for incoming tests, and make detailed quizlets while also studying for the NCLEX? I'm having a hard time managing it all with work and being a single parent. Any advice?

First day of clinical will always be one for the books. Wouldn't have it any other way with the best buddy!

Having at least one friend is definitely helpful. I find that the people in my program are friendly, and so it has been quite easy to meet new people. Also many people in my program want to go further and get their nursing degree, so overall having friends in the program has also motivated me to continue with school once I finish the LPN program.

I started Monday August 12th and you weren’t kidding semester one is HEAVY!! Only one week in and I planned out the semester and I literally have no room to breathe!!! Also YOU NEED A PLANNER!!! I remember when I was in LND and saw a c section. After a few minutes I dipped. Didn’t pass out but felt queasy and bounced. Def not for me 😂. Also, don’t stress recording in the hospital. Career comes over KZbin any day and making sure you stay out of trouble. It’s not worth it! Watching you speak is just as engaging.

Hi, im interested in applying to a compressed time nursing program (2 years) bc i have a degree already. But im worried about how much knowledge im expected to know coming into nursing school? Its required that I took physiology and anatomy, but its been years since i took these courses in the beginning of my undergraduate degree so im just worried that I need to remember everything from them in order to succeed at nursing school. Do you think that I have to review 100% of the content from those courses, going in? Or just be able to relate some concepts from them?

We completely understand and you talking about it was actually really great, I start nursing school in 2 weeks and am terrified but I am so excited to work somewhere alongside the peds area, I would love to be NICU if that counted towards CRNA school but it doesn't :/ anyways I'm glad you had a good semester overall, cant wait for more content<3

i start nursing school this upcoming fall and i’m so nervous. I got exactly the minimum score i needed on the teas exam and felt so embarrassed. The first time in my life i’ve ever gotten such a low score but i was still accepted by the grace of god. The teas exam kind of put me in a rut. I start on the 19th of this month. Hopefully i get my momentum back.

Worked in a bit today of your method for studying anatomy 2 (and a whole bunch of notecards) and I did better than I did in anatomy 1 (97 compared to 93). Your Quizlets were a life saver. I have all As on my prereqs and I scored an 88 on my TEAS the first try, but I have 3 more. Applications just opened today to the local program near me and I hope I’m good for the spring. Will be applying to a bunch in Florida though in general.

Do you ever read the textbooks for each class or the chapters being covered for each test? I’ve heard that sometimes is just extra fluff and most people just study what is most important to know or what the instructor is going to cover in the test.

Hey! I just wanted to say that I was super inspired by your flashcards. I never used flashcards to study because I didn't like making them, and for many classes, I'd need hundreds of cards. But by doing a full diagram on each card, it keeps the cards to a manageable number. I never thought of doing it that way. Anyway, I got so inspired by the idea that I'm taking the diagrams from my own A&P videos and creating a set of flash cards for people to use to study with. So I wanted to say thanks for the idea!
