One of if not one of the best accurate flight Instructions I've seen anywhere on any simulator anywhere.keep up the excellent work.

It's one of the best videos I have watched. I was confused at the beginning when you mentioned that trim regulates airspeed, scratching my head, but by the end, it made so much sense between pitch and throttle and the use of trim.

When you change the throttle, the nose seems to bounce up and down (and the climb speed too) until it finds some kind of equilibrium. Is that normal in a real plane too? If so, when making throttle adjustments for landing etc. then you still need to work the yoke a bit to try and maintain the climb rate? You can't JUST use purely the throttle because you won't get a smooth change in climb rate?

Learning trimming made a massive difference in my flying. Once you begin approaching things as, "pitch for speed, throttle for altitude" you'll notice a huge difference in your approach (no pun intended) to flying. Go to a safe altitude and practice trimming yourself into slow flight. Learn how to maintain altitude, Decent and climb with just your throttle... This will definitely translate to Bush/STOL flight. Pull out the xcub, savage or kitfox and learn how to ride the very edge of your stall horn... Again maintaining altitude, descending and climbing... You'll find your landing distances shrink rapidly because what is approach and landing? It's slow flight phase Extra points if you can find the old book "stick and rudder"... It's a masterclass on the importance of the basics.

Indeed the best tutorial ever. Nostalgia of my first flight here in Rotterdam (EHRD) At 20:45 you set the air pressure to 30.33. But in Europe we work with hPa. Can you choose that? and if so, where? Regards, Leo

I suppose this will be already answered by now, but at the bottom of the G1000 is a button 'PFD' where you find the option to change units from inHG to hPa or reverse.

Good video but you left out an important knowledge: How do I adjust trim? What buttons are set by default?

Best video I have seen. When I use trim, it does not keep the nose level. I constantly have to tweak it. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

That whole having to adjust the mixture thing seems so primitive! An ECU could easily do that for the pilot, but these old design planes don't have ECUs. At least with a turbocharged plane, it isn't necessary.

Don't make it complicated. This is a sim game, not a flight on a real plane. Show which command is used for what and in which order I need to press what. Simplify. Of course the brakes or rudder will work unless your fucking controller is broken. It's a simple plane. SIMPLIFY. I want to have fun on MFS and not fly a real plane. Nerd.

You had me until you said the departure was also called the upwind. This is not true. The upwind is separate from the departure as it is also parallel with the runway just in the same direction. It is only ever used on missed approaches. Example of such an approach would be if someone was departing and you had to go around again. You would move off to the side of the run way so you are not flying over the departing aircrafts.

Scan the instruments. Look outside for other planes. Look down for where you will land if the engine quits. And finally trim, trim, trim. Rinse and repeat.

boggles my mind that planes can have amazing electronics and an engine from 1957 Why on earth would a person regulate how much fuel goes into an engine when the engine should know best.

Not skipped or forget any items with constant obeying to procedures even at sim, not making any noisy disturbing mouth voices. Just flying explaining seriously with out any accent or local language adding. Thank you capt, and all who have right on my training without any color any religion any culture.. I hope will share sky like you peoples.
