Great job! I’m working through Mel Bay book 2 and wanted to find some more familiar solo pieces. This video was exactly what I’ve been looking for. I will certainly check out your wedding song book on the Mel Bay site. Thanks for sharing your excellent playing skills with us.

The lovely coda is missing! I downloaded your score and tablature for my son to play, and we were mortified to find that the best part of the piece wasn't there. I came here to check that you had intended to omit it, and sadly you had. 😢
@hydraman94 ай бұрын
So sorry for your disappointment. Realize, this book is for gigging musicians to easily read through wedding ceremonies. I think this is pretty clear in the description. Generally, one does not get through even a main theme before the bride or wedding party arrive at the altar.
@hydraman94 ай бұрын
I mean the fact that it is for pick style players should be good clue. Yikes, how much is missing from ode to joy??? You’ll really be mortified there.

@@hydraman9 - Thanks for your prompt reply! My elder son Thomas (25) and I are both self-taught multi-instrumentalists. Thomas plays electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, 5-string banjo and synthesizer, while I play bass guitar, double bass, Wurlitzer electric piano, organ, wind-synth and alto sax. It's hard to find unabridged classical tab arrangements. We previously downloaded a guitar arrangement of "Jesu, Joy..." which omitted the modulated middle section! Your arrangement of "St Anthony" was the only solo guitar version we could find. It's not a problem - we have worked out our own version of the coda by ear. Maybe I will record Thomas playing it for you. 🙂

send me a link to a version you like ( doesn’t need to be guitar) I’ll see if I can arrange it for your son.

Unbelievably poor playing. Your guitar is out of tune and you have no technique at all. Bobbing your RH to play is so stupid. Also, you are totally incapable of playing a single line...bobbing your index. Why are you so sh1t at this? Unbelievable.

Wow! How are 9-String Guitars tuned?
@hydraman9 Жыл бұрын
Hi. I invented this tuning and had the guitars built to my specs. There are 3 high strings between the 4th and 6th of a normal 6 string.

The most atrocious and pathetic jazz guitar playing I've heard in absolute ages. Can't play a measure without dropping beats. Can't articulate a single line without comical bobbing right hand producing the worst staccato sound I've ever heard. Thinks that adding strings will cover for the hilarious lack of musicianship. Please cease and desist. The musicians of the world beg you to stop defacing music and defaming the art. Why have you no shame?
