Look...I'm a huge jam band fan. I'm also a club/rave DJ and play house, techno, and drum & bass. Why the FUCK has no one told me of this band? This is absolutely both worlds of music I'm in love with married in the best way. This was the better part of two decades ago? where was I? 😂

AKA "Seattle Super Sonic" Because of the huge screens in some of the venues that they were playing in 1977 we so bloody big they put up huge screens so the people in the back of the ENORMODOMES could actually see what was melting their faces of. The 1977 shows were way beyond legal decibel levels for public consumption. These are the dry soundboard monitor output feeds that were off to the sides and not in the middle on the floor 24 rows back where the main sound man was with the main console was to mix the sound for the whole stadium not just one musican. The sound SUCKS comared to the mix and post effects going through big main P A. System. Same exact thing for the soundboard tapes from the entire "1980 Tour Over Europe."(no offense boots). Long short of it is that because they had camera's and as you can clearly see somebody put a tape in somewhere because we have the whole show. Because of this, there have been rumors going around since 77 that the entire 1977 tour was shot on pro film. First off it's early video tape that's as good as a LADA made out of papier mashé'd Russian toiket paper. Because the sound is thick and clear people like it csuse of this and it gets a lot of circulation. Frankly I wished it didn't but hey to each their own. You want to hear Bonham on a good night listen to the OVER THE TOP FROM LISTEN TO THIS EDDIE 06/21/1977 that's their best audience recording which is the very show that justified bootlegging, it's in their all time top 10 shows and Bonham's best night of his career. NOW THAT'S A SOLO!

Everyone tries to find THE best drummer. Of course there’s just raw skill level, and sure, I guess that can be “measured” and observed, but isn’t what we’re really doing is judging “who’s the best drummer?” by how we know them in their group? Bonham was perfect for LZ (hell, they dissolved as a group after he died). Moon was perfect for The Who (and why they never were the same after he died) Mason was perfect for Pink Floyd Peart was perfect for Rush…etc., etc. So who cares, “who was THE best”?
