Great footage. What a impressive machine. I noticed that the crane housing stays level even when the vehicle is at a angle, no idea how that works but it shows the typical German overengineering.😄
@SanderD1714 күн бұрын
Hello Buijs1967, Sorry for my late reply; I didn't knew this either, but in the lower bottom of the crane are mounted 2 wedges. The crane it self is standing ontop of it. When you offset these 2 widges ( they do that by hand cranking ) you create an angle, they level it then with a plumb bob thats haning on the crane. Sander

I'm curious as to why the Stug has a counter-clockwise manual start, whereas the Tiger 1 & 2, the Panther, etc... have a clockwise manual start? Seems odd when most of them had a Maybach engine of some sort, I would have assumed they'd all be the same?
@Rhonda19692 ай бұрын
If I was a multimillionaire I’d have to upgrade engine and transmission. All these gorgeous German monsters seemed plagued by undersized engines and problematic transmissions. Still for aggressiveness of design they were unmatched. I’ve loved them since I was a model builder as a kid.

So she's running on a wild cam, rather than a mild cam... That makes sense now, why she sputters so much at low rpms, but runs much more smoothly at higher ones.

5:54 Notice how you don't hear the famous "tkitkitkitkitkitkitkitkitkitkitki" sound as she moves. The only tank You're going to hear That sound come from is the t-34. And that's because the Russians put a stud of metal somewhere in the tread Bay, that quite literally beats the treads back onto their proper alignment. Simple yet effective Russian design philosophy at work.
