This looks like a fun project to be involved with. Everything from production to capturing the 360 video. Can't want to see the final product online.

Apalachicola River needs to be featured in the National Geographic Magazine. The magazine is suppose to be about geographical subjects and the river is a wild and natural geographical subject; and needs someone to tell the story in that magazine.

How many miles per day do you think I could average in a Tarpon 120 sit on top? I want to do this trip but I dont want to spend money on a true ocean kayak!
@tomjeffersonwasright22888 жыл бұрын
+oshaun15 Think longer, not shorter time. I floated the Apalach in 10 days, mostly drifting in the current, from Chattahoochee to Apalachicola, but I wish I had taken more time, maybe a month. I used a Grumman 19' square stern freight canoe, but I never saw water I would not attempt in a Tarpon 120. There are lots of beautiful side creeks and springs, and fishing and exploring. Have you thought of a rental canoe? On a long trip, some comforts like cold drinks or a chair are mighty nice.

Actually, my friend and I already did the trip. We started below lake eufaula and went the 190 miles down to apalachicola. It took us 9 days and 8 nights. The 120s were fine but somewhat cumbersome on lake seminole and the slower moving Chattahoochee.

What??? Did no one catches the line "the everglades remain intact"? Have they not heard of salt water intrusion or the problems of local farmers dumping pesticides into it or lowering water levels or rising oceans its not a wreck, but it's certainly not intact

He knows how to "sell" this idea. I stand with the environmentalists but I also stand with business. It will take all of us to create the sustainable behaviors that must be our lifestyle to protect our state.

Wonder if the old fish camp is still there...... There was a lake not too far from it called Lost Lake. Indian legend says a meteor hit there many, many years ago. When we would go out to the middle, the airboat would sink several inches... Maybe there is something to that legend.
