Uncle randomly gave me this laptop with a busted hinge and it introduced me to PC gaming. Was blown away when I found out it could run HL2. Spent hundreds of hours playing TF2. Got a wacom tablet for it and learned graphic design/video editing/animation. Years laters till senior year when I eventually built my own PC I sadly spilt water on the keyboard ruining the keys so I ended up throwing away the whole laptop. Feel like an idiot since I didn't realize I could've easily replaced that keyboard. It's such a nostalgic laptop for me.

Nvidia Geforce with TigerDirect and BestBuy the 7800 and 8500 series cards worked really well, installed them for an Irriquois family from China in Pennsylvania Chen, Andy and their son that uses ebay and also installed one we gave to the courts on the corner of 5th and peach in Erie Pennsylvaina near the 9th district circuit court.

If you buy the razer I feel like you don’t care what anyone thinks , but you have to buy the apple because everyone has it …the performance suffers because of that . Apple is catering to the masses. The razer Blade shouldn’t be shit on because it’s a specific tool for specific people . professional people ; people who stride with a service or art that is military grade at least. People that will never even use the laptop speakers to monitor their art to begin with . Apple has a cool system but you have to stay in it …. Razer doesn’t care what you do or how you do it …. The Mac book pro does not win. Because they are controllers.

mostb people are on their phones with either airpods, bose , beats, galxy ear buds or sonys.. etc ... blue tooth ear phones or headsets and car systems lol.. college student any maybe some high school students using cheap chrom books would rather use ther iphone 11-14 lol with basic airpods

fl studio with razer laptop is a whole nother level btw .. dont ever disrepect frequenciies with a laptop company(RAZER) that has the passion to match their rgbs to A DAWS BPMs and freq. SOmany produceers responsible for platinum records use razer blades lol but they aint using the speaker on the laptop to create it lol... thats foolish

Studio edition is for real Professionals, Artist, Architects, Animators etc. none of these people ever gunna disrespect the creation with the laptop speakers anyways lol. they definitely gunna be using studio MOnitor headsets ATleast or BOse or AIrpod pros to monitor their creations. ive never showed video fully baked without at least a bluetoothe speaker or Stuudio monitor headset. lol laptop speakers only matter if you buying a regulkar laptop for consuming

yeah speaker comparison is not productive. any person buying this laptop has the equipment, tools, gizmos to by pass monitoring their frequencies with the laptop its self . its main focus isnt to produce sound or consume content. its to be mobile and have STudio military grade Drivers and HArdware plugged in and be mobile and function. thats powerful no matter what. its razer blade . they have a deal wioth a DAW fl studio which is all about frequecnies. they know what they are doing . this is for Engineers, Vfx Artist, unrealengine ,game desginers, cgi, etc. they aint never gunna usethe speakers anyway lol

But the less the 1% will use this laptop for its actual function .

My Y580has been a great machine, the weak point was the HDD and Windows OS. I flushed windows about 10 years ago, and put a SSD in it, been running a couple of Linux Distro's on it since. Been running Ubuntu now for 7 years. It keeps booting up and chugging along. I think it has been a darn good investment as I paid about $1100 for it around 2007.

I still have this in 2024. It still works and I still love it. That interface is very rare now. You never see it in computers. I love the built in games on it.
