I’m jealous of your Microtech collection. I’ve got the combat troodon, but I’m really thinking about that new gen scarab. They have so many great knives, it can be tough on the wallet lol. I enjoy your videos…keep up the good work.

@kelloggcd Thanks so much it means a lot. I really started the addiction to Microtech with the basic MSI and it just grabbed me. The new Scarab is amazing. The feel in hand. I seen them used around 400 or less.

Rike is a good manufacturer in china , maybe the best , but it doesn’t make you feel all warm and fuzzy like a USA microtech

Microtech is shutting down there collabs in china there running sales on them because of that , I just wander what your opinion is on spending quite a bit for a knive manufactured in china , I honestly think it does more harm than good for microtech, there usa stuff is amazing , ultra tech owner and socom elite auto owner , also beat a ludt within an inch of its life working it .

@terrytoman4227 I agree and your points are valid. I trust Marfione and they made money off the deal plus there were more options for everyone. It's tough though because the MSI is American Made and for 175 i think it's amazing. Time will tell. Thanks for commenting 👍

Data is known for excellent structure and hands-down, the best craftsmanship in the game. These bags are not flimsy and will not collapse. Their products will hold their shape for years to come. Yes, you can buy a China or Vietnam bag for 20 bucks. But you get what you pay for. American made gear is not cheap.

I have the Mini Begleiter in black with frag titanium scales and 20CV steel. Very nice little blade. Q: can you disengage the button lock on your original XL with the knucle of your thumb when holding it in the "hammer" grip (I think that is how it is called)? I have that problem with my Original XL in carbon fiber, and that is why I haven't looked to acquire the titianium XL. Cheers!!

Have you had a Chaves? Reason I ask is this one is lighter because it’s not a frame lock. It’s super smooth and does have the best detent. I want to get the Street 229 probably gonna go red.

@ I did couple of years back. The detent was super strong which I actually liked. Got another Chaves this year I think and they went super soft on the detent, didn’t like it. That’s why I was asking. I was thinking about picking up the blue label.

@@BlitzburghEDC Both were frame locks full Ti. They adjusted the detents, i remember because the earlier batches had super strong detents and people were complaining.

@ I was one complaining. Hated the strong detent. Plus your hand always rested on the frame lock if you are right handed. The liner lock fixes that but the detent is soft.

These "Neo Trad" knives, especially the slips that have come out are heirloom worthy. Pricey as most of them are, still worth it imo.

I have the stitch and msi in g10. I do my own sharpening and amphibian scares me from purchasing due to the recurve blade. But man is it a good looking knife.

Nice looking knife. My Spydie Chef has the same sort of lock stick. Couldn’t agree more about the dumb Spyderco clips- those things are awful. People talk about the Benchmade butterfly tax, but the spydie tax is having to buy a new clip with many models.
