It would be interesting if Paul Cupido tried to let the interviewer finish her questions. Debates are richer when both people take and have time to express themselves.

Great opportunity to hear from a titan of photographic history. And the interviewer, Hans-Ulrich Obrist, is simply amazing in his versatility of being able to draw out artists from any domain.

An interview of Czechoslovakian photographer Josef Koudelka which I am listening to tonight. At 22 minutes explaining how he happened by chance to be offered the 25 mm lens which he used exclusively for his work on the gypsies the ultra wide angle lens and this lens is East German Zeiss lens made by the East German Communist Jena factory behing the West German Wall of the German Democratic Republic, and it is a Zeiss Flektogon 25 mm f4 mounted on an Exakta Varex camera I have been very curious about which lens Koudelka may have used for those Gypsy photos because it they were with an ultra wide view and that thought preoccupied me for so many years and I never really knew which lens he used although I did have some guesses but I didn't want to speculate so I did find out recently and now he is confirming himself and 25 mm is more or less a 24 mm which is ultra wide.

Requiescat in Pace ... I love her french-english accent speaking. So unique, so french, so parisian!

Hope he paid Tweeky Dave well ? Otherwise he wouldn’t have anything interesting to film and use…….. That young sad fella was exploited all his living days , so that would be the least this guy Name Jim could do for him ? But I just bet you the guy gave him squat and of course took all the credit for it too! Big shot in L. A,!

He wasn't exploited. Jim would help him out materially. I remember reading an excerpt from the Magnum website where Jim called Dave's parents when he was sick and they were apathetic to their child's state. So i don't think Jim was exploiting Dave in anyway especially since his work is enlightening certain parts of our society that no one is willing to acknowledge much less look at
