Shelby Mingus Thank you for making the film . I lived my first 16 years in Vermilion and Gore Orphanage was only about 2 miles away from my house and all us kids spent many summers exploring the ruins in the 60's . And there was still something about that place you could feel weather the legends were true or not . Some kind of presence that more than one person mentioned feeling after being there . :)

On the same note they are having a paranormal fair at Saint Josephs hospital on April 21 . That is where I was born in 1952 . Going to try and make it just to see if I pick up on any spooks . I was also spared in 1954 when a tornado was heading at our house and lifted only to drop back down on the East side of Lorain pretty close to the hospital.

I am going the 22nd to the st. Joesph hospital! My mother, aunt and uncle were born there also in the late 50s early 60s. I love exploring the past it's so exciting. Have a good time if you go to the hospital! Enjoy your self.

Shelby Mingus: it was the creepiness of Gore Orphanage Road that led me to your video. I grew up near Kent State University, a bit too far east for it be part of my teenage lore. I just found it in my journeys. The very 1st time i found myself driving down this road called Gore Orphanage it freaked me out...I thought why the hell such a beautiful byway would have such a morbid name. It stuck in my imagination & was a big question mark until today. thanks for posting it.

most exceptionally eloquent. from a former northeastern Ohioan. I badly miss the glaciated valleys of home though I'm a geologist living in the Rocky Mountains of Idaho just to the west of the Tetons & Yellowstone. I'll always miss Ohio...

Barbara Jewell I also live in Ohio about 45 mins away from vermilion where the tales is supposibly expost to be at. I love Ohio and it's valleys and all the creepiness !
